Q Qualifications for Botox injectors to look for?
A

Thank you for your question! There are several important factors to consider during your aesthetic practice search. When looking for a provider, it’s important to evaluate how many patients the practice treats per year. Experience is based on how the volume of patients a provider sees. Look for a provider who specializes in the treatment you’re seeking and performs these treatments often. Aesthetic treatments are generally not “one and done” procedures. Find a provider you can create a treatment plan and a relationship with. Aesthetic treatments are a journey; look for injector who listens to your goals and educates you on your best options. From an injector standpoint, it is very rewarding to be able to make people feel like the best version of themselves.

Best of luck on your aesthetic journey!

Q Can I get Juvéderm Voluma on top of Radiesse?
A

Thank you for your question! Yes, you can have a Voluma dermal filler treatment after a Radiesse dermal filler treatment for more volume. Radiesse is a calcium-based dermal filler, compared to Voluma, which is a hyaluronic acid-based filler. Voluma is also part of the “VyCross” family of fillers, which uses cross-linking technology to make treatments last up to two years. There have been some reports of risk of nodules with Voluma, but these reports are very rare. Since it is a hyaluronic acid-based filler, it is dissolvable (unlike Radiesse).

We’d recommend discussing a treatment plan with your provider to decide if this treatment will help achieve your aesthetic goals. The beauty of dermal filler treatments is you can build on treatments to achieve your goals. Best of luck on your aesthetic journey!
