Skin by Lovely - Portland

Thai is so great. She injects my Dysport and patiently answers every question I have, every visit. Often we as patients think we need something (procedure, treatment, etc) or we hyper-fixate on one tiny flaw no one else notices. Thai does a great job of acknowledging that concern and incorporating it into her treatment plan. She'll also push back, and won't let you explore treatment options you don't need or aren't a candidate for in an effort to "upsell" to you. She truly wants you to FEEL your best about the way you look.

She's also really great about working within your limits. I'm a full time grad student, so money can be tight, especially when getting a completely indulgent treatment like a wrinkle relaxer. I'm realistic about my budget and Thai works miracles in that budget to address my areas of concern. Being a grad student is stressful, I don't need it to be permanently etched into my face, and Thai helps me prevent that. I would recommend her to anyone even slightly curious about wrinkle relaxers, I wish some of my best friends lived nearby so I could introduce them to her magic!

After numerous consultations, I decided to get PRP infections under my eyes to improve hollowness, fine lines at rest, and deeper lines when smiling. I do not have bags or dark circles. While PRP can improve pigmentation due to skin damage (like sun damage), clinal research hasn’t shown this treatment to be effective for genetic dark circles. As such, my injector and I considered me a good candidate. All other dermal fillers were considered a poor solution for my desire to improve under eye hollowness and lines.
I also chose PRP for its lower risk compared to dermal fillers since the product comes from my body. At worst, it would be a waste of money. With dermal fillers, I risked looking worse and eating money.
Prior to the appointment my primary care physician ordered a blood client test so I could confirm platelet count within normal ranges (mine was normal). For blood building, I took 65 mg iron supplements 3/week at night on an empty stomach for 3 weeks prior to the treatment. For 4 weeks I took Collagen Complex (I, II, III, V, X) with hyaluronic acid and vitamin C daily. I continued collagen supplements daily after treatment as well. For 2 days before and after treatment I took tumeric supplements for its natural anti-inflammatory impact. I drank a vitamin water 2 hours later before my appt to ensure I would be hydrated and to make the blood draw easier (I’m difficult if dehydrated).
The initial prick hurt for a second but then it just felt weird. My injector (Katia) gave me w bottle vibrating wand to hold yo distract me. The forest view outside at Skin By Lovely LO is also beautiful to look at and the EDM music was pleasantly distracting too. I had 2 tubes of blood drawn, spectated in the centrifuge, and injected under my eyes. The injection took about 2 mins for both eyes. At home I used ice for a few mins proactively for inflammation. I worked all day (from home) without noticing anything.
For the first few days it was swollen under my eyes, but I loved it. I knew the plasma would absorb, but for about 4 days I enjoyed the plumpness at the top of my cheeks and under my eyes. The injection site (she used a cannula) had a dark bruise but I had no other bruising. I slept on my back the 1st night (wasn’t told to, just seemed like a good idea to me). The area around my eyes was sore for a few days, especially if I bent over to tie my shoe or pick something up. I didn’t workout for 24 hours and for the first few days after that my workouts were less intense than normal (walking instead of running, lighter weights). I resumed Retin A at day 7. I didn’t wash my face the 1st day but made sure to shower before my appt so I wouldn’t have to deal with showering and keeping my face dry. For the 2 days faster treatment I only used CeraVe cleanser and moisturizer, along with Clarins Double Serum. After day 2 I reintroduced hyaluronic acid 2%, Revision eye cream, and vitamin C 20%.
I’m happy so far and will get another injection at 6 weeks. I’ll keep tracking progress and I’m hoping to see collagen production diminish fine lines even more. I hope the results don’t just disappear after a few weeks. This was my first filler (I’ve had Botox once before this). I’m happy I started with my own plasma and platelets. Scary reviews and clinical research with hyaluronic filler showing allergic reactions, filler migration, and poor intermingling with fibers made me apprehensive about other fillers, especially near my eyes.
1 star removed simply because I haven’t seen long-term results and because numerous treatments at $1k each are needed. As demand for this increases, I expect the centrifuge equipment costs to come down as well as the treatment prices.

I’m so thankful and impressed with all the staff at Skin by Lovely. I stopped in recently to pick up skin care products, Jordan is amazing! She explained thoroughly the products that would work best for me, then emailed me a regimen for morning and night. My skin looks and feels amazing. Current favorites are Revision Intellishade and Nectifirm also the Lytera 2.0 (reduces the dark spots)

I had the pleasure of being treated at Skin by Lovely a few weeks ago for some Botox in a few areas for the first time. First I would like to address how clean and maintained the treatment center is. Everyone was professional in the way they dressed, carried themselves, communicated with coworkers and clients, that I felt like I chose the right place right off the bat.

Booking the appointment was easy and quick with Katie’s help. She was very sweet the day of my appointment. She knew it was my first time being treated, so she gave me a cozy blanket and checked on me to make sure I was feeling comfortable! On the way out I got a fun goodie bag she had put together with a couple little products I could try and she got me set up for a follow up appointment! Having her so warm and friendly throughout my visit was comforting and made me feel at home, which was nice as a first time client.

I didn’t know what to expect with the Botox treatment. I knew I was coming in to see Amanda, who was recently hired, so a part of me was a little nervous. You could have fooled me!! If I didn’t know she was new I would have thought she’d been doing this for years!! She had the answer to every question I asked and explained her plan for my treatment as she went. I didn’t feel any pokes and she was done in a few short minutes. I saw her for a follow up appointment two weeks after so she could check her work and I mentioned being interested in a lip flip. She was so accommodating that I got it done right then! Since my appointments I have been getting comments about how great my skin looks and questions about what my skin care is! Can’t deny that it’s a confidence booster to have people notice the glow!! That being said, Her talent and passion for the industry did not go unnoticed!! I loved my visit with Amanda and highly recommend scheduling with her!

Wish I could give 6/5 stars! I LOVE my results and I can’t wait to come back!!!!

I highly recommend Skin by Lovely! They are amazing!! I have been getting the Juvederm dermal fillers with them and I go to Rachel at the Portland location! She is so amazing at what she does, I trust her with anything! The treatment is quick and easy, hardly painful - you feel a little poke here an there but that's about it, Rachel always ensures to get the very best results and the exact look you are wanting!

I will definitely say they are one of the best out there. :)

Skin By Lovely is by far THE best aesthetic center I've ever seen or been to. I initially went to a med spa that really messed up my botox and Juvederm. So I made an appointment with Semona to see if she could help me or fix my issues.
When I walked in, the office was immaculate, and gorgeous. The staff was extremely friendly and bubbly. They made me feel at ease and so pampered. It feels like you have been transported to Beverly Hills when you walk in. I used to live there but now live here in Oregon so going to, Skin By Lovely felt like home, it felt luxurious and inviting.
Semona took me into her office and immediately made me feel very calm and comfortable. She was so sweet, gentle, honest (and gorgeous btw). Haha. She told me what was needed to be done to correct my previous procedure errors. She could have easily just added more filler over what I had initially (to make money) but she was completely fair and honest and said that I needed to soften (with saline injections) my Juvederm before she could inject my lips further. I was a little bummed because I really wanted my lips plumped that day but she explained in detail why it wasn't safe. It all made sense so she helped break up the huge lumps in my lips, which felt and looked soo much better!! She did however add more botox to correct what the previous med spa did. She showed me how heavy my brows looked from the botox that was done previously (I hadn't noticed but she showed me in my pictures and she was soo right!!). So she added some to correct what the other spa did. It was AMAZING how much she lifted my brows and gave my face a more bright eyed look. I was so happy with the result and still am.
I went back two weeks later and she finally was able to fill my lips and I was ecstatic at the result. It was practically painless and she gave me EXACTLY what I wanted. She's a true artist and takes her time to make your face and lips...look perfect. I had an idea of what I wanted and she did it. Semona was the ONLY person I could find in the area that could help me achieve what I was wanting. I can't say enough good things about her! She truly is an artist.

Then after your procedure is finished I walk over to the check out and Kendra helped me with the finance part of the procedure. She is also soo gorgeous, sweet, and easy to work/talk to. She's extremely informative on aftercare, expectations as well as other products that they sell. She helps you use your brilliant distinctions app to get your rewards and help use it to get the most bang for your buck. She is so friendly you feel like you are talking to a good friend.

Overall my experience was AMAZING thanks to both, Kendra and Semona. I highly recommend going to Skin By Lovely and having them work their magic on anyone. You won't be disappointed! A truly unique, and magical experience. You leave feeling ten times better than you did when you walked in. They're work is worth every penny.

I had an amazing experience with the entire staff that was working on the day I came in for my reservation. Specifically though my specialist, Amanda Scott is the real reason I am writing this review. I got a micro-needling treatment and this was the 2nd time I go this treatment. The 1st time was not with this person / or company. The 1st time I did this was underwhelming and I wont go into detail but it just wasn't a great experience. I decided that I really wanted this treatment though because I have heard amazing things about micro-needling and that it is for people who are not satisfied with the texture of their skin, want to help with fine lines, and acne scarring.

Amanda spent a lot of time consulting me on my skin and my needs before we even decided I was going to do the treatment. Which the consultation alone is free but to me that is the most important part. What if you think you want a treatment but really based on your needs you would benefit from something else? Anyway, the consultation was educational and informative and by the end of the consultation I trusted Amanda and that I was in good hands.

She started the treatment by massaging a numbing cream into my skin , all over the areas she was going to use the needle. She let it sit on the area. She also explained what she was doing and why throughout the process which made me feel even more comfortable. When she was ready to start she made sure that if I felt uncomfortable or it hurt to let her know. She went in, it hurt on the bony parts of my face like my forehead but overall it was not that bad. The experience though was completely different from my first experience (with a different place ) though . In the best way , this place is worth the extra money. You are not just paying for a treatment you are paying for an overall great experience AND the education. After she was done she showed me a mirror and went over what to expect and also gave me a guide that had information on pre & post treatment instructions and what to expect (again the other place did not do this at all) . I got some samples and I purchased a product to help calm my skin and will be a good moisturizer. It was funny because as she is going over the product she recommended someone thought of another product that they normally use but she was very adamant that while that is a great product but this one she recommended would be better for MY SKIN because she knew of my acne prone skin. Which just made me smile even more because it just made me feel like she really cared about me and my skin. I probably went over board with this review but if you are going to spend $$ on a treatment I think it is important to know that there are places out there who will take your money and not care about you and my first (at a different place) experience was like that. So this experience just blew me away. VERY happy and will return!

I started receiving Botox treatment from Skin by Lovely in 2015 or 2016 (it feels like yesterday) and I recommend them to everyone I encounter who mentions an interest in exploring injectables. Skin by Lovely contrasts from other clinics because they excel in an area that I believe most people look for most: effective, yet modest results. The biggest gripe I have with other clinics is their disingenuous need to upsell products and/or procedures that are unnecessary and overwhelming to the average person. Skin by Lovely asked me what my goals were from day one and matched the units of Botox appropriately to my needs, all while providing excellent care. I trust this company to do what's right for any individual, whether they are new to Botox and other treatments or seasoned clients.

All in all, the Skin by Lovely staff is absolutely what makes the overall experience. The expertise and results are top notch, but every person I have encountered has been helpful, kind and accommodating. I initially spoke with Shauna about my interest in trying Botox and I am so grateful that I did. Whenever I am in the hands of either Amanda or Jessica, I know I'll be ecstatic with the results! Receiving treatment in my forehead and frown lines has been a total game-changer in many aspects of my life and has improved my confidence immensely. I can't say enough wonderful things about this Skin by Lovely!

I just love coming here and getting all freshened up! Lindsay was amazing and got my Botox just right! So thankful for Lisa and the girls always being so kind and welcoming. This place is not only perfectly clean but so beautiful! I am always impressed with the products they recommend and would not look this good without them!

I’ve spent years wanting to try injectables for my lips. I didn’t really know where to start or the first thing about it. When I discovered the Skin By Lovely Portland location, I became really excited and felt comfortable going in based on friends of mine who’d had beautiful results with various specialists there. My experience from the front desk to the procedure room and meeting everyone was incredibly reassuring and welcoming. Tereasa did my injections and was a perfect blend of informative and personable. I’m going back next week for my second syringe, about 6 months after my first. The results were very natural and well balanced and I’m definitely ready for more!
