Is it advisable to use an ice pack belt after CoolSculpting to enhance results? And if so, how long after can i start?

Hello,Thank you for your question. Unfortunately we have not seen any positive results with products like an ice belt. It is entirely different from the CoolSculpting procedure and will not reduce the need of your second treatment. Consult with your physician and evaluate your results after three months to determine weather or not you will need a second session. Good luck! 

Don't waist your time or money on an ice-pack belt. Who claimed that "its as efficient like a CoolSculpting treatment"? Decide on your second treatment based on your results at 8-12 weeks. Dear Aguy38, The FDA has cleared Cool Sculpting based on the amount of time and temperature at which we know affects the fat cells but doesn't harm skin or surrounding tissue. There is no reason to apply cold or ice following your treatment. It is not proven nor safe. i would not trust anything you buy to do at home. It can not truly work and in fact may harm you. Allow your treatments the time it takes to work and do your follow up visit and photos and hopefully that will be enough. Best of Luck. 

I would not recommend using an ice pack belt after a CoolSculpting treatment.  The additional cooling could potentially harm the skin and I am not aware of any studies showing that an ice pack belt positively enhances results.  Multiple CoolSculpting sessions can enhance results, so I would recommend waiting 12 weeks after your first session and if you would then like improved results, a second treatment could be done.  

An ice belt would not have the same outcome as CoolSculpting and could posswibly damage your skin. CoolSculpting has thermal monitoring within each applictor and if it is off even by a degree, it will stop treatment and alert the CoolSculpting technician.There is also a gel pad that protects the skin from frostbite.

Moreover, using an ice belt could potentially be dangerous, as it rests on the surface of your skin. I would suggest ditching the ice belt and sticking with your CoolSculpting treatments. There is absolutely no reason to use ice packs after CoolSculpting.  Fat cells are destroyed when you get the temperature in the subcutaneous tissue down to at least -11 degrees Celsius.  You will not get there by using an ice pack.  Also you can cause skin necrosis by doing that if you try too hard.  Trust in the technology. Many patients need more than 1 session and there really isn't anything you can do yourself to help.  I wonder who "they" are that are recommending the ice pack belt and what studies they have to prove it works...the seller of the belt?  Do not spend any more time or money on that.  It is NOT as efficient as a CoolSculpting treatment.  Good luck.

Why? 1. It, almost certainly, won't work (if there were any indication this worked, everyone would do it, see results, and we'd see medical studies about it!)2. It could damage your skin, especially considering sensation can be compromised (it might be a little numb,) in the treatment area, following the Coolsculpting.I hope that helps :)

I would not recommend the ice pack belt, it will not have any additional effect on the fat cells and it may not be safe.  There is no current evidence that any aftercare with Coolsculpting will enhance its effects.  The most important thing is the massage we provide right after the procedure.  Hope your results are great. You already picked a great fat reduction procedure, your body will take care of the rest.
