Can I get CoolSculpting if I have metal fusions in my back?

Thank you for your question, this is a very important questions to ask. While
having metal fusions in your back is not a contraindication for Coolsculpting, there
are a few other things to consider. Can you sit in the same position
comfortably for 35-60 mins? Minimal movement during your treatment is a must so
being comfortable and stationary during treatment is very important.  The manufacturer of the Coolsculpting devices
recommends a wait time of one year following Coolsculpting over a surgical
incision site.  Any wound must be
completely healed, skin must be completely intact.

Yes, you can have Coolsculpting with metal fusions in the back. For best results with Coolsculpting, a combination approach is needed. I recommend adding radiofrequency treatments like Vanquish, Venus Legacy, Exilis Ultra for skin tightening and with Z wave/Cellutone for skin smoothing. Hello cspat14,Thanks for your great question. Metal implants from a back fusion, knee replacement, etc., are not a contraindication to CoolSculpting. The best candidates for CoolSculpting will have isolated pockets of stubborn fat that doesn’t respond well to diet and exercise. Good question! And the good news is that there is not any contraindication to CoolSculpting with metal in your back. To find out if you are a candidate for fat treatment with CoolSculpting, you will need to have a consultation.  I would recommend being seen by a provider that is certified, experienced and well-qualified. Many people do end up being good candidates for CoolSculpting and most are happy with their results. 

No problem.  We would only avoid the area if there had been recent surgery, but metal is fine.  The treatment can be done.  Good luck!
