I am happy with my weight, but not my love handles. When I put on a few pounds it seems to go right to my love handles. I am considering coolsculpting. Do you know if the procedure is more effective when my love handles are plumped up, or is it more effective if I slim down first? Or maybe it doesn't matter. thanks
Answer: Best timing for CoolSculpting For many people, the love handles are one of the most persistent and stubborn pockets of unwanted fat, so you are not alone. CoolSculpting is an effective and painless means to eliminate those types of fat deposits. The treatment is meant for fat loss and contouring, rather than weight loss. It’s also important to remember that CoolSculpting treatments will not replace the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. To be a good candidate for CoolSculpting, you should be within 25 pounds of your ideal body weight and have realistic goals for your fat loss. If you meet those simple qualifications, then you are most likely a candidate. Be sure to speak with a qualified specialist to make sure a CoolSculpting treatment is the best option for you. Hope this helps.

Answer: Optimum time for CoolSculpting? Thanks for your question! It sounds like you would be a good candidate for CoolSculpting! I certainly wouldn't suggest "plumping up" specifically for the procedure, but you should try to have the treatment done around your most stable weight. Good luck!

Answer: When Is Optimum Time for CoolSculpting? Need Pinchable Fat for CoolSculpting on Love Handles CoolSculpting works best when you are around your ideal weight or mildly overweight. For the love handles, you would need to have about an inch of pinchable fat, so don’t be too skinny. In my opinion, if your weight tends to fluctuate within a certain range, doing CoolSculpting at the heavier end of the range is best. It’s really hard to always stay at the low end of the range as you age, unless you’re blessed with a great metabolism or you have time to exercise vigorously daily. So, doing your procedure when you’re a little heavier will assure that you look good at the high end and when you’re at the low end, you’ll look fantastic. No matter what weight you are, as long as we can pull the fat into the CoolSculpting applicator, the fat cells will be killed. This won’t prevent you from gaining weight, but it will make your figure proportionate, whether you maintain your weight after your session or go up a few pounds (but try not to!). Please find a board-certified dermatologist to evaluate your figure, determine if you are a candidate for CoolSculpting, and discuss the kinds of beautiful and satisfying results you can get by contouring your body.

Answer: Timing of CoolSculpting Best time to have CS treatment is when your weight is stable (if you're losing weight, lost it first). If you're only losing 10-12 lbs, in my opinion it makes no difference, but if you think you have 30-40 lbs to lose, then wait. Without an exam, it will not be possible to fully evaluate you and give you recommendations. Be sure to discuss your goals and concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon and consider the pros and the cons. Be certain your surgeon is properly certified. I've attached a link where you can start your search.

Answer: Optimum Time for CoolSculpting Fat cell production is fairly set at puberty (possible biological instance of growing new fat cells is during pregnancy and in cases of extreme obesity). These preset fat cells expand and shrink when you gain and loose weight throughout your adult life. With this being said, there is not a preference of when to be treated. It's more of if you're a good candidate! Each treatment should reduce 20-25% of fat cells. Most patients benefit from 2 sessions (total of 2 cycles to each area of concern). As with any treatment, you will have an optimal outcome if you're already committed to a healthy lifestyle.
