Dr. Chavez and her staff were fantastic! And for people who are not into reading long reviews, I will just say that it was a great experience, and my eyebrow tattoos are now virtually undetectable to the naked eye after 3 to 4 treatments. Last year I opted to get permanent eyebrow tattoos, which I felt was the best solution for my middle-aged thinning brows (it was not!). After a couple months of unsuccessfully trying to fix/remove them myself (which only made it worse!) I reached out to Dr. Chavez via email in desperation. She took the time to write me a personal email, which convinced me I should at least go in for a consultation. When I went in for my consultation, I was immediately struck by Dr. Chavez’s complete honesty and professionalism. She explained the process and the difficulty of removing cosmetic inks. She did not set unrealistic expectations and explained that this might not be a quick fix. She also explained potential side effects, like potential skin darkening. She started with a small test area to see how my skin would respond, and I believe I waited a couple weeks before beginning treatment. Any skin darkening I may have experienced was short-lived. The layers of cosmetic inks disappeared with each treatment, transitioning from brown to auburn to yellow and finally back to normal skin tones. I am so thankful I took a chance on Clearwaves! Yes, I recommend them!
I have received coolsculpting on several areas. Am very happy with the results. I have gone down several pants sizes. Dr. Chavez's office has been great with everything. Would definitely recommend her to others
I started to become more self aware of my 2 wrist tattoos in my professional field, and started researching laser treatment. I am so happy I found Dr. Chavez and her staff. They are true professionals and the procedures are fast, and not as painful as I thought it would be. Don't wait any longer! Updated on 15 Nov 2017: Here are the pictures before my 1st treatment and after my 2nd one. My 'no regrets' on my right wrist is showing a considerable amount of fading again, and this is after the 2nd treatment. But I see the black one on my left wrist, doesn't seem to have changed much after the 2nd treatment. I go back in January for my 3rd treatment, so I will update this page again afterwards.
Unfortunately, you're going to get docs answering according to which laser THEY use - but, it's not always the best/cheapest. Pico lasers are NOT going to be cheaper, overall. They cost twice as much, on average, as great Q-switched lasers that can get you similar results with similar number of treatments. I would suggest you find a place with GREAT reviews with their OWN before and after photos (not "company" photos.) Find a tattoo that looks similar to yours (similar colors, similar skin tone, etc), and, ask how many treatments it took to get the results. See what "feel" you get for the office (honest, or trying to "sell you".) In the end, lots of lasers could do a good job, if it's done right. You DO need an office with a 694 or 755 (Ruby or Alexandrite) TRUE wavelength (not a "dye pack" to approximate the wavelength), to best treat your green ink :) I hope that helps!
You should see MORE improvement AFTER the 4 wk mark, compared with BEFORE! So, it's GREAT that you're responding so well - more good results should follow! :)
Why? 1. It, almost certainly, won't work (if there were any indication this worked, everyone would do it, see results, and we'd see medical studies about it!)2. It could damage your skin, especially considering sensation can be compromised (it might be a little numb,) in the treatment area, following the Coolsculpting.I hope that helps :)
It's MUCH safer than the wavelengths generally used in Pico Lasers, which tend to cause lightening of the skin (which, can be permanent.) The Pico lasers also cost twice as much, in spite of them, largely, not living up to their claim of removing tattoos in "half the treatments." Look at before and after photos (from the physician's office, themselves, with the number of treatments needed, and, you'll see what I mean.) That will also help you find a good provider :) Good luck! I hope that helps!
Bottom Line: It won't help enough to make a big difference, or, be worth the money. It's a good procedure, but, it's really for "fine touches", and, doesn't work very well if people have significant excess fat. Sorry, but, save your money (especially if it's, mostly, for your brother's wedding in a few months.) Your brother and family love you just the way you are :)
