I haven’t felt any pain at all and the little pain I’ve had I’d just take one ibuprofen pill per day. I am not big on pills and believe that if they’re not necessary I shouldn’t take them, but I’m wondering if by not taking the muscle relaxant pill will it affect me bad during my recovery?

Answer: Not necessary Good morning! Not taking muscle relaxants after breast surgery will not effect your result. The pills are used by some surgeons to ease the discomfort of your muscle being stretched when having your implant placed under the muscle but it does not effect final result.I hope this helps

Answer: Postoperative protocol Dear cio90,it should not have a negative effect on your final results. Every plastic surgeon has his own postoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
