Is this mock-up before and after photo a realistic representation of an achievable result for chin liposuction? (Photo)

I’m a 38(f) in good health. I created a mock up with my desired result for 10 liposuction, and I am wondering if this is realistic or feasible or if a true result would be much less dramatic.

​I find that VASER liposuction in combination with Renuvion or ThermiRF are best for contouring the chin in those who are candidates, but Kybella can be used as an alternative and gets better results when combined with Thermage/Ultherapy/Exilis, TruSculpt iD, or Coolsculpting. Liposuction removes fat. It depends if you have fat under your chin, or if its just skin. If it is not fat, you would need something like a thread lift to tighten the skin. You could also benefit from a genioplasty. Your chin is a bit short, and by bringing it slightly forward and down, it would bring balance to your profile, while elongating your jawline and tightening the skin. Hello, hope you are well. That would be an ideal result, but in reality it might not be achievable with submental liposuction for a couple of reasons. You have accentuated the cervicomental angle very nicely, but this is determined in part by the position of the hyoid bone, and not just the presence of excess fat. Secondly, there may be subplatysmal fat which is not really accessed or addressed by liposuction. Sometimes a more direct surgical approach is required to create the neck contour you want, but a physical examination is required to give any further guidance.

Yes I think you can expect to get that result if you do a combined submental liposuction procedure and a small chin implant. The small implant will enhance the neck chin angle in your desired post op photo.

It is realistic to achieve a result similar to your altered photo, but it will likely require more than liposuction alone.  You can consider skin tightening procedures such as FaceTite or potentially add Morpheus8 treatments to enhance your results.  See a board certified plastic surgeon near you to learn more.

The before and after photo mockup is realistic, but not with just liposuction alone. It's very important to understand that there are two compartments of fat in the neck, and you have both deposit is a fat above and below the muscle. Liposuction can only accomplish removal of fat above the muscle and will not give you those results by itself. A surgical neck lift not only accomplishes removal of the fat above the muscle with liposuction, but also surgical extraction of the fat deposits below the muscle which also includes a platysmaplasty to significantly improve the jawline. You will require a necklift procedure to get the results you're looking for. Also, you might consider placement of a small chin implant to augment augment your recessive chin forward for better facial balance and proportions, especially with respect to the projection of your nose. Placement of the chin implant will also give better structural support for the soft tissues in your neck and give you a better jawline as well

It doesn’t seem like you have a lot of fat in your neck, so Liposuction is going to be subtle. Don’t change your appearance to some degree but it may not look like your morphed picture.
