I had Chin Lipo in October of 2022. I was left with this bulge. The dr kept telling me it was swelling and to do warm compresses. After 6 months he went back in to take out more fat and it looks the same. How do I fix this

Answer: Neck anatomy and aesthetics Almost 100% of people seeking chin and neck liposuction have a primary issue relating to having a small mandible in relationship to the Maxilla. When the mandible is small or lacks in projection, the underlying platysma muscle drapes the neck in a more oblique fashion. Having had two rounds of liposuction it’s pretty clear the problem is most likely not related to access subcutaneous fat. The primary issue is directly related to bone structure, and this affects how the underlying tissues drape the neck causing certain contour issues people don’t like. Simply augmenting the chin does not move it forward and has a little impact on the underlying platysma muscle. A neck lift does tighten the muscle. Getting a quality assessment is sometimes fairly complex because there are many tissue variables involved the most important being bone structure. Other tissues that can be of concern include as previously mentioned, the platysma muscle, subcutaneous fat, skin laxity, Sub-platysmal fat, and submandibular salivary glands. To make an assessment of the outcome of a plastic surgery procedure we generally always need to see proper before and after pictures. If you don’t have before, and after pictures then and ask your surgeon to forward the ones they took. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD

Answer: Chin Lipo 3rd Round Hello, I would recommend a new liposuction with the use of technology to contract the skin, otherwise it would be a facelift and from what I see you are a very young person, I hope I can help you
