I've had terrible nasolabial folds for as long as I can remember. It is hereditary. It has been extremely damaging to my self esteem to be labeled "droopy dog" by my peers and co workers. I want to be taken seriously. I feel like Im already at such a disadvantage visually. Would fillers even work or would I have to get a facelift? I want the least invasive/ damaging treatment as I have other areas I would like to eventually correct as well. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
Answer: Filler or facelift Thanks for your question and photos. I think fillers are a great option for someone in your age group. Fillers can be used to help augment the underlying structure of your face to give you more projection in your midface, which might help the nasolabial folds you are complaining about. You might want to also consider augmenting your chin will fillers, as this can help balance the facial proportions as well. Schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon and they will be able to accurately evaluate your face. Best of luck!

Answer: Fillers Are a Great Choice Thanks for your question. I understand your frustration with your nasolabial folds, as these do often have a hereditary component and can be very difficult to avoid. I think you'd be a great candidate for injectable fillers, because your face is in overall good shape otherwise. A facelift would simply be too much for you at this point. Although fillers are long-lasting, their results will ultimately fade. This means that, at any point in the future, you can choose to continue using them or "move up" to surgery with ease. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon for your fillers to ensure the best possible results.

Answer: How to improve my nasolabial folds and 'droopy dog' look? Dear geoangel6Thank you for your question. As a facial plastic surgeon and rejuvenation specialist, I would have to evaluate you in person for true medical advice. From your photos, you do look like you have an underdeveloped midface/cheek bone area, and augmentation here could help. This can be done with fillers, fat or perhaps implants. The latter is a good option in cases where a large amount of volume is required, as may be the case with you.An evaluation by a facial plastics specialist would be of use to you.Best,Dr. Most

Answer: Fillers can often work wonderfully to diminish the appearance of nasolabial folds Fillers can often work wonderfully to diminish the appearance of nasolabial folds. Make sure you see a board-certified facial plastic surgeon with experience placing fillers for the best result. While age is not the primary concern when considering a facelift, 32 is fairly young and it’s doubtful you have the amount of skin sagging necessary to warrant a full facelift.

Answer: Nasolabial fillers or facelift at 32? Hello! Thank you for your question! I hope that these answers help! The facelift procedure is an excellent method for shaping the face and create a sculpted face and jawline as well tightening the laxity of your skin and soft tissue. This will rid much of the wrinkles and laxity while adding volume to your face which has been lost with normal facial aging. It is a popular procedure for facial rejuvenation and restoration of a more youthful and invigorated appearance that will last for several years. Women of all ages are candidates for these surgical procedures. There is a trend for younger patients to do smaller procedures at earlier ages and maintain the appearance, rather than a drastic result later in life which is very noticeable. Given your photos, I believe that nonsurgical methods will likely give great results before consideration for an actual facelift. Good skin care regimen as well as fillers or fat grafting will likely meet your expectations. Adjunct procedures such as a peel and/or laser will accentuate the results. You should consult with a plastic surgeon well-versed with facial aesthetic surgery at anytime to go over options in order to assist you in deciding which procedure(s) would be right for you. Best wishes!
