Is "Life care magnetic induction" a viable solution for my malar pads. I had a Face lift with endotyne cheek lift, but it didn't help the festoons. My PS would like to try it.
Answer: Malar pads You have prominent malar mounds. Festoons are actually due to excess muscle laxity. Not sure how long ago your facelift was. The endotines can take quite a while to absorb. In the process they might be inducing enough on flammation to keep the mound swollen. The malar mounds are very sensitive to fluid retention, which can be increased from recent surgery. Also make sure cut down and eliminate as much salt in your diet as possible. Another culprit, though less likely could be your thyrpid level. Make sure that is notmal. And of course any type of nes make-up, cleanser or skin treatment. If all of the above is normal and ruled out, I think that only surgery will be able to correct this problem. Good luck.

CONTACT NOW Answer: Festoons--how to treat? Festoons are very difficult to treat. These are really 'bags of fluid' that rest in a normal anatomic 'holding area' just below the orbital rim. They can be exacerbated by allergy, surgery, or anything that causes inflammation. Many treatments have been tried on these (lasers, etc) and to my knowledge none have worked well. I am not familiar with the efficacy of the magnetic device on these. Like any procedure, I'd ask the surgeon about their own personal results with this technique. One thing that I've found useful is topical steroid cream (ask your doc for a prescription), for a short period of time (7-14 days).Best,Dr. Most

Answer: # facelifting micro fat grafting , #facial contouring #fattransfer #beauty #complications Dear tripo74Thank you for your questions and photo! I do not know of any NON- surgical way to manage a FESTOON, other than a steroid injection in the immediate post op period to manage ACUTE SURGICAL swelling. There are surgical options - BUT these are not always successful. With Warm RegardsTrevor M Born MD

Answer: Very difficult problem I once heard a patient say that another surgeon recommended a solution by performinga lower bleph and taking more fat from the area. It was obvious that surgeon had noexperience with this difficult problem. The malar bag is very fibrous and fatty and is not conducive todirect removal. In addition, the festoon under the skin has a distinct difference in tension compared tothe skin over the malar bag. It can be helped by deep volume correction but not eliminated. Its best to seek consultation in person in order to see if the assessments made are true.

Answer: Malar edema This is a very hard problem to correct. The fat pad there is edematous and the skin on top often very thin. I have never heard of this machine - so it may not have much of a track record yet. We sometimes will try a variety of things - so there is no one good way to help this. I like to use ulthera for deep heating with some fractionated CO2 laser on top.
