The front part of my nose is bent downwards. I'm really self conscious about it. People say they can only notice it from my side, but it still bothers me. I'm assuming that after I hit my nose a few times that's how it became bent like that? It used to be straight. Please help, and is there anything I can do to fix it?!
Answer: Nose bent downwards The nose appears as such because of the nasal hump pushing the nasal tip downwards. Once the nasal hump is removed, the tip moves upwards and the nose does not appear to be bent downwards. RegardsDr. J

Answer: Rhinoplasty for the nose that is bent down with a hump. Rhinoplasty for the nose that is bent down with a hump.in addition to refining the tip and removing the hump you will need a radix graft as well as mid nose cartilage grafts to balance your nose out. Your tip will need to be supported because now it is actually below your hump. It should be brought forward to increase projection but not shortened.

Answer: Why is my nose bent downwards? Your tip rotation (upturn of your tip) is actually fine. What makes your nose appear to point downward is the hump or bump on the bridge that is most prominent just above the tip. This can be removed with rhinoplasty surgery. If you're happy with the front view of your nose, this does not necessarily need to be changed during surgery. I hope this information is helpful for you.Stephen Weber MD, FACSDenver Facial Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Rhinoplasty for dorsal home reduction and down turned nasal tip cartilages A closed rhinoplasty approach can address reduction of the dorsal hump, and lifting the droopy tip. Osteotomies of the nasal bones are then required to close the open roof deformity created from a hump removal and to straighten a crooked nose. Also important to make sure there's not a deviated septum on the inside after nasal trauma. For many examples and more information, please see linked and video below
