Thank you very much for sharing your concerns with us.At this point 2 weeks post-po, the swelling is normal. To reduce it, I recommend you perform daily lymphatic drainage massage therapy over the abdomen and wear a postoperative girdle from thigh to the breasts.Kind regards,Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-
Thank you for your question and congratulations on your surgery! It is not uncommon to still be draining fluid 12 days after a tummy tuck but you should have been seeing a steady decline in daily output over that period. Oftentimes the consistency of the fluid will also thin becoming lighter red in intensity and eventually to a yellow,straw-colored appearance. Be sure to maintain close follow up with your surgeon, they can ensure that you are healing appropriately.
Thank you for your question. It is not abnormal to be draining 12 days after surgery. The amount of drainage depends on the technique used to do your tummy tuck (progressive tension sutures, hemostatic agents, tissue glue, or none of the above), the degree of liposuction performed, and your current activity level. It is standard to keep a drain in place until each drain collects less than 30 cc per 24 hour period. Follow your surgeon's guidance and instructions throughout your recovery for optimal results. Best wishes!
Great question. It is not uncommon to still be draining 12 days post Liposuction and Tummy Tuck. You should by now be seeing a steady decline in the amount of fluid draining and the fluid should also be becoming lighter in color. It is normal for drains to stay in 2 weeks or so to limit the amount of fluid that could build up inside.
Thanks for your question. It will take about 3-6 months for the incision to settle, and more like a full year to see your final results. Just try and be patient - and ask your surgeon about recommendations for scar creams (if any), and when to start massaging the scar. Glad you're happy! Best of...

Dear jtwildone05,Thank you for your question. Swelling in the scrotal region is common after a tummy tuck procedure. Swelling often moves with gravity. Having surgery on your abdomen can cause swelling to occur below the surgical area. It is best to see your operating surgeon in person to be...
First, if you feel like you have fluid then it should be evaluated and possibly drained by your surgeon. At 2 weeks, you have a lot of healing left to do in terms of the final scar appearance. Expect it to take a few months at least. Ask your surgeon about options such as silicone sheets to help.
Thank you for the question and pictures. You should be very proud of the appearance of your abdominal wall, especially after multiple pregnancies! In my practice, I would not offer you a mini tuck operation. I would either suggest that you avoid surgery altogether or undergo full tummy tuck ...
Congratulations on your weight loss! It is difficult to tell without personally evaluating you, but people who have especially slack skin in their midsection and abdominal muscle weakness need more than what diet and exercise alone can offer. Typical candidates for a full tummy tuck are...
