Pie crust incision tie line? (photo)

Thanks for your question and for the photo.I have never heard of a "Pie crust" incision.  From the photo, it appears to be an everted incision where the deep sutures (or absorbable stapler called Insorb) causes the edges to roll up or outward.  The edges will slowly flatten over time depending on which suture was used.  Generally, the incision continues to heal for a full year.  You should ask your surgeon which scar treatment/product they prefer.Best of luck.

Thanks for your question. It will take about 3-6 months for the incision to settle, and more like a full year to see your final results. Just try and be patient - and ask your surgeon about recommendations for scar creams (if any), and when to start massaging the scar. Glad you're happy! Best of luck.
