I chose Dr Tarola for my breast reduction surgery, after I had endured years of chronic, excruciating back pain. First, I would like to talk about his staff, they are amazing! They are so professional, helpful and friendly. Dr Tarola explained the procedure very clearly. He made me feel confident and comfortable about my decision. He is a very skilled surgeon, and I actually found I was not in near as much pain, post-surgery, as I had anticipated. I did end up with a complication, and Dr Tarola has been by my side with follow up care every step of the way. My chronic back pain is gone, and I am so glad I had the surgery.
I am so thankful to have found Dr. Tarola! He is a perfectionist with his work, and he even went above and beyond what was expected and fixed scars from a previous surgery. In addition to his incredible skills, he has a staff full of kind and caring souls! Dawn makes you feel like family before you even meet her! Finally, the surgery center in Murfreesboro was excellent. The nurses and anesthesia team were top notch, and I appreciated all of the extra care they gave to me and also to my family.

Everything from the getgo was seamless, and my recovery has been easy (2.5 weeks out now). 110% recommend.
He did a magnificent job! I am very pleased with the results of my tummy tuck. I couldn't have chosen a better doctor for the procedure. Dr. Tarola takes pride in his work! His staff is very nice and they made me fill very comfortable.
Although an in person evaluation would be required to make any definitive recommendation, it appears that you underwent a short scar lollipop type mastopexy when a better option may have been a full anchor pattern mastopexy in order to remove the excess redundant skin at the bottom of your breast which is now causing the breast and implant to appear bottomed out. So, A simple scar revision will not fix your overall problem. Nor will exchanging your current implants for larger implants. A revision mastopexy with the anchor pattern technique well elevate your breast implants creating more upper Pole fullness and cleavage. Best wishes!
Thank you for your question. It does not appears as if your scar sites are ready for application of scar treatments. I strongly recommend following your surgeon's instructions. Patients often get into trouble when disregarding instructions from their surgeon.
Thank you for your question. Although some degree of concern is expected, the risk of nipple necrosis with a breast lift is extremely low. That being said, individuals with extreme ptosis or droopiness of the breast are at an increased risk as are patients with active nicotine use. The risk of nipple necrosis is higher with a breast reduction compared to simply a breast lift. I recommend consulting with one or more board certified plastic surgeons experienced in this procedure. Best wishes!
Thank you for your question. At relatively low volumes of less than 350-400 cc, it is extremely difficult to tell the difference between a round and shaped implant. This has been proven in studies. I and many other surgeons are getting away from shaped implants because they are textured devices. The texturing is worrisome for many people because it has been associated with anaplastic large cell lymphoma which is a type of lymphoma that develops in the capsule scar tissue around the implant. This condition has not yet been shown to develop in patients with smooth implants. For more information, I recommend you discussing these issues with a board certified plastic surgeon.
Thank you for your question. I recommend undergoing en bloc capsulectomies for implant removal in order to contain the silicone rupture, and lymph node removal only if they are symptomatic (painful). You would need an in-person evaluation for a complete discussion regarding implant removal vs replacement...the decision is completely up to you once you know what is required to achieve your desired result.
