I've had juvurderm Voluma put under my eyes and through the tear area. I didn't have any hollow areas. The doctor thought I could use it. It was one full syringe and was put all the way up my eye my my lower lashes. Is this safe? And on the left side I can fell it under my eye, even when I'm not touching it. Can some of this be removed?

Answer: Tear Trough Injections Results--Fillers-Belotero, Restylane, Juvederm, use Cannulas Yes, Voluma can be used under the eyes. I'm not sure when you had your procedure, but you can have swelling for 1-2 weeks. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. Belotero is a good filler for this area and I recommend injections with cannulas to limit complications. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Juvederm Voluma under the eyes - safe? Thank you for sharing your excellent question. Voluma placed underneath the eyes in the lid cheek junction can be safely performed but is rarely done. Are you sure that Volbella was not injected instead? This is a much a thinner filler that can lead to nice improvement in eyelid hollowing and can be placed into the superficial tissues of the face. If after 2-4 weeks from your current treatment you continue to see or feel your injected filler discuss dissolving it with your injector to return to your previous appearance. Hope this helps.
