You shouldn't be swollen after your Voluma injections for more than a few days to a week or two. You can control swelling by avoid blood-thinning herbs such as gingko biloba and ginger before your surgery, avoiding aspirin and NSAIDs, taking the herb arnica, and using ice after your procedure. Having Voluma injected into one side of the face will not affect the other side nor cause it to swell.
