I would like to keep it confidential so I do not want to tell my surgeon if I don’t have to. Can it also effect my pre-op labs? Can a surgeon refuse to do my surgery because of this? Can I continue to take medication for HSV before , during and after my procedure?

Answer: BBL candidate Dear tiffsmith01, there should be trust between patient and surgeon and you should not keep secrets from your surgeon. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon and have an honest discussion. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Health conditions that can affect a BBL Thank you for your question. It is very important to share everything about your medical history and medications with your surgeon prior to surgery. It should not affect your pre-op lab work or the surgeon's decision to offer surgery. This is a fairly common condition and the medication can be taken before and after your procedure.
