There is no reason you can’t, but anaesthesia runs a very small risk of damage to the teeth when you are being intubated so I’d suggest having your dental work done after your surgery so there is no risk of damaging it. Hope that helps!
From your description of the dental work, it appears that all procedures do not have to performed immediately although "need" is undefined. You might consider postponing them until you have recovered from the BBL ORAsk your oral surgeon how long you should wait after the dental work to have a BBL. Because oral health is related to your overall health, be sure that your mouth has healed so that you are able to eat a healthy protein diet prior to and after BBL.
Dear alenahoward, most plastic surgeons won't have issues with it. But every plastic surgeon has his own preoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Hello and thank you for your question. I don't see any reason why you cannot proceed with your surgery 4 weeks after the proposed dental work. Just make your plastic surgeon aware. Best,PejmanAflaki, M.D.JohnsHopkins-trained double board-certified plastic surgeon
Hello dear!!Thanks for the question and provided information as well. This should not representa an issue with your upcoming surgery, but please, follow up close with your plastic surgeon.Hope this is helpful. Good luck :)
Hi and welcome to our forum! From strictly a medical standpoint, the procedures will not interfere with each other. However, the anesthesia provider may have a difficult time protecting your new veneers during intubation for the BBL, making it perhaps worthwhile to perform the BBL first.Ask your plastic surgeon and dentist this very question.Best wishes...
This should not be a problem but definitely ask your PS what they feel comfortable with. Also, if you have any issues after the dental work as far as signs of infection, then you may want to push your surgery back.
Considering these two are in quite separable places they should not affect each other. A Skype or FaceTime consultation with a BBL specialist can help you get an accurate recommendation.Respectfully,Arian Mowlavi MD,FACSRealself 100 Hall of Fame Inductee
I suggest asking both your dentist and plastic surgeon.personally I don’t have an issue with it.Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
