Yes, fat can be transferred to the calves. As far as if you are a good candidate for this will be up to your PS. It is best to see a board certified PS to make sure you have enough fat to share with your calves when getting a BBL. Also, you can develop compartment syndrome if too much fat is injected to the calves, so do you homework - safety first.

The answer to your question is yes. Whether it’s a good idea or will deliver the results you’re looking for is a totally different issue.I would probably steer away from this option unless your provider has great experience with it. there’s also the concern of fat embolism‘s which have not been described with calf muscle fat transfer but has been clearly documented to be associated with grafting fat into gluteus muscles.this one single complication has led the BBL to be called the most dangerous cosmetic surgery procedure with a fatality rate of 1:3000.Fat does survive well when grafted in muscles and what you describe is possible. Again whether it’s a good idea or will deliver the results you’re trying to achieve is a different topic. This is one that should be discussed during an in person consultation.  from posting on real self you will get some plastic surgeons saying yes but probably more plastic surgeons saying no. because we are all concerned about the serious complication of a fat embolism all plastic surgeons will be somewhat gun shy to recommend this.especially on a public forum.Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
