I was truly amazed by Dr. Matthew Plant. He is the first doctor who actually gave me a real diagnosis — something I’ve been searching for since birth. I’ve struggled with this issue my entire life, and despite undergoing multiple surgeries, no one had ever truly identified the root cause — until now. This was my third surgery, and Dr. Plant was able to correct something that others couldn’t. Not only is he a highly skilled and talented surgeon, but he is also a genuinely compassionate human being. He took the time to listen to me, to answer all my questions, and more importantly, he made me feel seen and understood. I had carried a lot of shame and felt "broken," but he reframed my situation — he treated me like an interesting challenge, and that changed everything for me. The experience as a whole was exceptional — from the elegance of his beautiful Toronto office to the warmth and professionalism of his team. Marianne, Daniela, and Alex were outstanding — always available, day or night. We even booked the surgery on a Saturday afternoon, and I had questions on a Sunday night that were answered without hesitation. They were consistently kind, attentive, and supportive throughout the entire process. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Plant and his incredible team. Even in a vulnerable and difficult situation, they manage to make you feel like you truly matter. That kind of care is rare — and deeply appreciated.
My experience with Dr Plant was amazing, absolutely Night and Day different versus my previous surgical experience. I cannot even begin to explain how satisfied I am with my results! I had been telling Dr Plant that my scar and muscles on my left side from my previous surgery had left me with discomfort and ww discussed every issue in detail, and he addressed them with different techniques/parts of his procedure to support my implant; now my breasts are perfect! I couldn’t be happier! Cannot wait to see him again for any work.
After seven years with breast implants, I decided to have them removed due to back and shoulder pain, as well as symptoms related to breast implant illness. I researched several surgeons and chose Dr. Plant based on his expertise and positive reviews. From start to finish, the entire team was professional and caring. Dr. Plant was very supportive of my reasons for explant, and I felt confident in his care. I had 400cc high-profile implants placed under the muscle 8 years ago and had my explant with a lift with Dr. Plant. The postop care was excellent, and communication post op was excellent, they were always checking in with me and I felt very supportive ( and I’m out of town). I'm four months post-op now, and my recovery is going great with minimal scarring. I highly recommend Dr. Plant for anyone considering explant or any other plastic surgery.
I am so glad I came to Dr. Plant. Not only were the staff friendly, every step was explained clearly and patiently with no pressure. He takes every safety precaution. My results were wonderful, I cannot recommend him enough as a surgeon.
I recently had a breast explant and lift performed by Dr. Plant, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the exceptional care I received. From my initial consultation to post-op recovery, Dr. Plant and his entire medical team demonstrated professionalism, compassion, and expertise. The OR staff made me feel completely at ease on the day of surgery, ensuring I was comfortable and well-informed. Their kindness and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Dr. Plant’s skill and precision truly shine through in my results—I feel healthier, lighter, and more confident than ever! Additionally, the medical office staff were always responsive, friendly, and supportive, making the entire process seamless. If you are considering an explant or any procedure with Dr. Plant, I highly recommend him. His expertise, bedside manner, and commitment to patient care are second to none! Thank you to Dr. Plant and his amazing team for giving me such a positive experience and beautiful results!
I’ve always felt self-conscious about my asymmetrical, small and slightly tuberous breasts. As I got older, they only became more droopy and deflated, and I finally decided last year to look into surgical options. I consulted with a few local surgeons, but it wasn’t until I met with Dr. Plant that I felt confident enough to go ahead with surgery. I immediately felt that Dr. Plant was genuinely invested in understanding and helping me achieve my goals, and that he was taking the time to formulate a tailored, thoughtful surgical approach rather than just a cookie cutter solution, which put me at ease. I felt so confident in him that I booked my procedure on the spot—and I’m so happy I did! Six weeks post-op, I’m totally in love with my new breasts - they’re exactly what I hoped for and look natural, symmetrical, and perfectly proportioned to my body. I feel so much more confident in myself, both in and out of clothing. Dr. Plant is an incredibly skilled surgical artist. He also has an amazing team who have all been incredibly kind and helpful, and I’ve felt supported throughout the entire experience.
I am having an extended tummy tuck+ and BBL on September 8th, 2025, with Dr. Plant! Hi everyone, I’m so excited to share the journey I am about to go through and continue updating you until 1 year post-op. I have gained and lost significant amounts of weight over the years. Finally, in 2019 (at my highest weight), I decided to have a gastric sleeve, and since then, I have maintained my weight for about four years. I told Dr. Plant that I wanted to remove the excess skin around my lower stomach area while still maintaining a feminine hourglass figure. I mentioned that I had seen many before and after pictures where people get a tummy tuck but end up looking very straight. In my opinion, they fixed one problem but were left with another (a boxy figure). He completely understood my concerns and explained how he could enhance the hourglass figure I’m looking for during the tummy tuck procedure. I also shared with him that I absolutely love rounded, feminine hips and would like to fill in the small hip dips I have to further enhance this area. He was very honest and told me he would not do it without performing a BBL as well. Initially, I told him I didn’t want a BBL, he reassured me that he doesn't create exaggerated results (unless requested) but instead focuses on creating a natural, proportional look. To clarify, I have very little volume in my butt—my back nearly blends into it. With his reassurance, I decided to go ahead with the BBL to help achieve the hourglass figure I desire without looking disproportionate. He also explained that he would not perform hip augmentation without some fat transfer to the butt as well because it would look unbalanced, which I completely agreed with. Additionally, I have HS (Hidradenitis Suppurativa) on my groin and bum area. Dr. Plant and his team are fully aware of this, and they have assured me that the BBL can still be safely performed. To be completely honest, my biggest fear right now is the pain after surgery. I know pain is inevitable, but my last two surgeries involved being prescribed oxycodone, which didn’t seem to work for me anymore. It didn’t relieve my pain, nor did it make me drowsy like it did when I had my wisdom teeth removed. I’m not sure why it no longer seems effective, but I plan to discuss this concern with Dr. Plant at my pre-op appointment a few weeks before surgery. So far, my experience with the clinic has been the best I’ve ever had. I had consultations with five other surgeons before choosing Dr. Plant, and he and his team have been by far the most responsive, supportive, and professional. They’ve made me feel comfortable and cared for, treating me as a vulnerable human being rather than just another number or paycheck. I’m very happy with my decision so far and will continue to update you with photos and progress before and after surgery!
I cannot describe how amazed I am with Dr.Plant’s work. I got a tummy tuck with 360 lipo and fat transfer to my butt. I also added arm lipo. I am sooo happy with my results. I gained my confidence after 3 kids. I could have not asked for a better experience. My belly button looks AMAZING! Best surgeon out there. The cherry on the cake is his staff. All the ladies are so kind, welcoming and caring. This was a life changing surgery for me and I am so glad I got it done by Dr.Plant’s.
I am 9 months post op from my abdominalplasty and could not be happier with my results. As a result of an 80 lb weight loss back in 2010 I had developed some loose skin. It had always bothered me and I finally decided to get rid of it in October 2023. My recovery was about 6 week’s although only the first 2 I would describe as uncomfortable and I did have a bit of regret as my skin felt very tight but it has regained elasticity in time. My scars have healed very nicely and are barely noticeable. I cannot thank dr plant enough and it’s hard to overstate how much better I feel about my appearance now that the dreadful looking loose skin is gone.
I had a tummy tuck, liposuction and bbl. Working with Dr Plant and his team was amazing! Dr Plant and the team always made me feel comfortable and took away any worries - from the very beginning when I initially reached out to a consultation all the way to my 3 month check up. The staff were so professional but also very warm and welcoming. All the ladies in the office have such great energy and it was always a pleasure going to the office. I am 5 months post op and SO happy with my results. I have never felt so comfortable and confident in my own skin. Dr Plant listened to what I wanted and delivered beyond my expectations. I would highly recommend Dr Plant to anyone considering plastic surgery. Thank you to Dr plant and the ladies: Alex, Maryann and Leigh-Anne!!!
Great question. While you would definitely require an in-person consultation to see if you’re a candidate there has recently been an no-incision version of the periareolar lift described that might be a great option for your situation. The majority of surgeons will not be aware of it so don’t get discouraged if you reach out to a dozen offices before you find one that has a surgeon who can perform this, but it seems like it’s worth looking into. Hope that helps!
Great question. Based on the photos I would suggest that neither liposuction alone or a mini tummy tuck are a great idea. The excess skin above the belly button will look worse if it is pulled down the way skin is in a mini. Only a full tummy tuck or a reverse tummy tuck would help with skin in that location on your abdomen. I’d suggest having a consultation with a local plastic surgeon who has expertise in abdominal contouring to be examined and get a better sense of what your options are. Hope that helps!
Thanks for your question. Without examining you it is difficult to be certain but based on the photos it appears as though you've had some wound healing issues leading to irregularity of the areolar borders and widened scars. Whether it's a result of the scars stretching or poor elastic fibres in the skin, it appears as though the implants have stretched the lower pole significantly and now a bra cup can't contain the lower half of the breast as well as the nipples, resulting in them showing as you describe. In order to correct this you'll need a full revision of the lift to correct the excess skin and most likely some galaflex mesh or alloderm to support the implants and prevent the lower pole from stretching out again. Although the solution is relatively straightforward, the actual procedure is not so make sure you see a breast revision expert in your area to get this fixed properly. Hope that helps!
Great question. You are an ideal candidate for a breast lift without implant as you still have decent volume to work with. You do have a significant asymmetry that needs to be addressed with a unilateral reduction so make sure to see a very experienced surgeon near you. Hope that helps!
Hi there! Based on the photos, the excessive skin you developed during pregnancy is simply too much to be appropriately treated with a mini tummy tuck. In order to get the best possible result a full tummy tuck would be required in order to remove the excess skin, correct the overhang of your “shelf” and address the stretched belly button. Although the photos alone won’t show it, it’s highly unlikely that your skin stretch this much without some degree of diastasis recti developing as well and only a full tummy tuck would allow for a proper repair of your muscles. I would suggest seeing a local plastic surgeon to discuss your tummy tuck options. I think you would be a great candidate for a no drain tummy tuck with some Lipo contouring of the waist. Hope that helps!
