I don't want a lollipop lift, I do not want that vertical scar starring at me in the mirror. I don't want to have 20 year old boobs on my 41 year old body. I want them to look full and natural. Im getting gummies, ill let doctor choose cc but I did like the 475 cc. Can I get away with a present or donut?
Answer: Breast Lift Thank you for your question. Take out and crescent lifts are used in cases where there is very little sagging. From your pictures, it doesn’t look like you would achieve a satisfactory result from either of those procedures, especially if you are also getting implants. With time and proper care, the vertical scar will fade, and I think you will be happier in the long run if you get the right surgery the first time - trying to avoid a scar could lead to revision later with more scarring. With that being said, my advice would be to schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon. They can examine you and offer options for the surgery technique that will give you the best possible results. Good luck!

Answer: Breast lift with implants Hello and thank you for your question. The best advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation. With that being said, based on your photographs, the best shape and contour could be achieved with an implant and a vertical or wise pattern breast lift. I do not ever recommend a Bennelli or circumareaolar (donut) lift. Over time, the areola tends to enlarge with a thickened scar. The other even worse problem with a circumareaolar lift is that it flattens out the shape of the anterior breast over time. A vertical or wise pattern lift with an implant can result in a very nice shape if good technique is used. The size of the implant is based on your desired breast size/shape, your chest wall measurements, and soft tissue quality. This decision should be based on a detailed discussion with equal input from both you and your surgeon. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Reish, M.D. Harvard-trained plastic surgeon

Answer: You Need A Lift Dear tinawill2, Unfortunately, an augmentation alone or with a donut mastopexy will not be sufficient. I agree with my colleagues and you will be dissatisfied. In my opinion, a lollipop or wise mastopexy will give you most aesthetically pleasing breasts. Good luck. Dr. Gervais.

Answer: Type of lift along with implants Thanks for your question and the photos. I completely understand your reluctance to have the additional vertical incision, but it is necessary to give you a good result. Neither the crescent nor donut mastopexy approach are good options. An exam is necessary to counsel you on implant sizes, but 475CC is too larger in my opinion based on your photos. The added weight and volume will be counterproductive to the lift and will not look "natural" in my opinion. Find a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in your area that is an ASAPS member and specializes in cosmetic breast surgery. Best of Luck!

Answer: Can I avoid a vertical lift? Thanks for your inquiry, I would not advise a crescent or donut mastopexy to treat your ptosis. Please re-discuss your goals with your surgeon, good luck.
