3 wks po breast lift & augmentation. I know it's early but I don't think he did enough of a lift and very uneven. Dr and I decided on 450cc silicone under muscle. I brought pictures of what I wanted & didn't want. He reduced my areola which I'm happy with but my right breast is 1-2 sizes smaller than my left and I think he didn't do enough of a lift. I'm not happy where my nipples are as I was adamant about them being center. Some of the looks I liked he even thought the nipples were a little high.
Answer: Is it too early to judge the results of my breast lift and augmentation? thanks for your question. And the answer is yes; you need to wait until your breasts are fully healed and dropped. That healing process can take almost 3 months.

Answer: Asymmetry/Nipple Location after BA with Lift Thanks for sharing your pictures and experience, BBrown. It is way too early to tell your final results. At 3 weeks, you still will have a good deal of swelling and the implants may take some time to fully settle into place. Reviewing your photos, you had pretty significant breast shape asymmetry. It also appears that the one breast was also smaller pre-op. You will likely realize a positive improvement in the shape asymmetry with the breast lift, but possibly not as much in terms of the size/volume difference. Your nipples will come up as the implants settle. But again, it is way too early to tell if they will position to your satisfaction. In my opinion, I don't feel that plastic surgery has yet to invent a true "breast lift," and that essentially a breast lift is a "nipple lift" and a "re-shaper." Unfortunately, the ability to elevate the nipples, shorten and re-shape the breast, and somewhat elevate the breast mound and infra-mammary crease is hindered by the placement of implants. Your surgeon may have been more conservative with the lift component as there is a higher risk of nipple loss, wound dehiscence, and/or implant loss. While no one ever wants to have a second surgery, a revision breast lift after a healed augmentation-mastopexy has the potential to give superior results, as the implant is now protected by the capsule that has formed around it, and there is some scar tissue in the area of the previous mastopexy that often lends superior suture support, compared to the virgin fatty tissue/deflated breast tissue/weakened skin. Best of luck to you, and I hope you achieve the results you were hoping for once everything settles out. Dr. Ghafoori
