Dr. Ghafoori explained my face and neck lift in detail. I met with three different Dr.s and she spent the most time during the consultation. I am very happy with the results. She accomplished exactly what I wanted done. Everyone is amazed at the results.
I had my tummy tuck on June 1st, it's been a struggle. The second day was the hardest but everyday is getting better. Depression after surgery is very real I am currently postop day 5 and going through it but I know things will get better. Updated on 9 Jun 2021: I am now on my 8th post op day, and I am feeling so much more better. I had my visit with my Dr yesterday and still need to keep my drain in unfortunately. However she said I am doing great and healing excellent. My belly button took one for the team and is the one being a little more stubborn but she’s looking good too. I need to pickup a cream for the belly button but that will also be used in my scar which she said is used to treat burns that Will take off that excess ugly stuff. However I am able to shower myself and do a lot of things on my own. Since the beginning I never really hunched down or neither used a walker i walked okay since the beginning. I’m not completely straight but I’m getting there. I am so anxious to get back to work but I need to take my full 3 weeks and listen to my body. I get exhausted just by showering lol. Updated on 12 Jun 2021: Hi ladies I am post op day 11 and just wanted to show how awesome my cut and belly button are healing. Also wanted to show before and after. Updated on 22 Jun 2021: Hi y’all! I am officially 3 weeks post op; my drain was finally taken out yesterday whohooo! I am also back to work today but of course on restrictions. My recovery process has been so great, I got my first lymphatic massage yesterday and she too complimented me on my healing and the Dr’s cut. I am feeling so much better, almost back to myself. Would I do this surgery again? 10000xs yes. Updated on 1 Oct 2021: Hi guys! I just had my 2nd surgery with Dr.G yesterday for a BA and everything went so smoothly, and today is my post op day 1 and I am feeling as if nothing, just a bit sore but nothing too bad. Love Dr. G & Sarah and the rest of the staff
In 2011 I got a mommy make over with Dr. Ghaffori. My first impression was that she came off very strict "my 20 year old self was so inexperience " that is what you want in a surgeon who's going to work on your body while you are under anesthesia. I was so worried about the scare that I was going to be left with after the tummy tuck. I wanted it as low as possible, or for it to not be longer than it needed, the belly button to not look so fake or crooked, so so many worries. On my breast I didn't want them to be high up, hard fake looking, or to be left with symmastia"uniboob". Well I expressed all this to Dr. Ghaffori and she told me what was realistically possible very honest and direct. She did an amazing job with me, she left me how I pictured myself just how I wanted. I healed perfect. I was a single mom working really hard and saving for about 4years to get this procedure done cost was about $9500 give or take with faja labs everything. A couple of years went by and the bbl became a thing. Everyone wanted one including me my body has a confusing shape iv never had a flat butt but I definitely needed one. So having a conversation with a friend I tell her how I'm saving to get this procedure done and she tells me her cousin got it done in MX. Already that was a red flag because there's only two ways it could go really good or really bad. I told her how I had heard horrific stories seen terrible pics of girls getting done work over there. But she tells me "no you don't know this Dr he is amazing he has amazing prices he's done local celebrities he even has billboards here in the Valley" she didn't have to say anymore. So I get his number make an appointment go see him he is all smiles telling me everything I wanted to hear promising me he is going to make magic on me I ask for before and after pic he shows me, he even plays a video from a local news celebrity from here the valley the price he gave me was just what I had so I said ok lets do this. I go to my surgery nervous so nervous on the drive thinking where it would be. We get there building was nice everything seemed fine and minutes before surgery he tells me him and another Dr I've never seen will be performing the surgery that freaked me out I started asking questions he tells me that everything is going to be alright that they are an amazing team and work well together he reassures me I'm going to love my results. They do surgery I spend the night at the facility to make sure everything goes well the next day when its time to shower I get the faja off when the nurse starts to take of the bandages my heart fell I had been botched I new it as soon as I saw myself one of my thighs has a big dip the other one didn't one of my side butt/hip had been filled in the other one hadn't, one of my love handles was gone the other one was partially there and my butt had no difference in size. Both surgeon did different jobs on me. The Dr came in and I told him right away why am I like this he said you are swollen these are not your final results and I knew that was true it only had be about 15hrs I told him that even though everything was swollen everything was disproportioned he told me to wait till everything went down and then I could really see. Time went by my body healed and yes I was botched. I didn't want to go back to him to fix me I had lost all trust. That scarred me so much I just stayed like that. I gained weight so fat kinda distributed back in some areas. Its been 8 long years since that. Every 10 years you are suppose to replace or remove breast implants. I'm thinking I just want to remove them all together and who else than the Dr. who put them in and did a good job at it. So now I'm thinking maybe she can help me fix my botched body and giving me a real true bbl. I called and made an appointment so on 3/9/2021 I will go in and ask for her opinion. I'm sorry for getting this space like a journal, our bodies are not something to take lightly and if what happen to me can help someone else not go thru something like this then its worth all my rant! I will gradually add before and after pics so you all can see my journey.
Word's can not express how grateful i am ..Dr Gafoori is a Board certified, highly recommended plastic surgeon. She is in my opinion a perfectionist and knows a women's body.. In my experience she went above and beyond my expectations. For the first time in my life i can say i love my body. Thank you doctor for your honesty and for always giving me your undivided attention.. Thank you so much..
I'm 4 weeks post-op and I love my results already from breast augmentation and abdominoplasty! After having four children and little recovery time with each pregnancy while in the military, I developed issues with my abdominal muscles and excess skin that could only be repaired with surgery. Dr. Ghafoori did phenomenal work and boosted my confidence with this procedure. Thank you for your excellent work!
Dr. Ghafoori is one of the best doctors I have ever met! She cares for her patients and does beautiful work! I truly appreciate this woman and Sarah! They are both wonderful and professional! Love y’all!
Day 3 post op and no pain!Dr.Ghafoori is very knowledgeable and definitely knows what she does .she’s the best. This was more like a revision surgery and I just couldn’t be happier.!! Excellent staff especially (super) Sarah lol
So I had a sports related injury and surgery back in February and was unable to work out for about 5 to six months because of it. I gained about 30 pounds as a result of complications of this surgery and my lack of exercise. At this point I’ve been able to drop about 15 lbs, but I’m still not happy with the shape of my abdomen area. I’ve always had a square-ish figure and a double chin regardless of my weight. I’m hoping lipo can help me enhance some of these problem areas. I’m currently 5’2, 165, and 27 yrs. old Updated on 2 Dec 2018: Really hoping to see some changes in my figure after my surgery. Currently 18 days out and I couldn’t be more excited. I booked my Airbnb, bought some supplies like meal replacement drinks, arnica pills and ointment, pineapple juice, saltine crackers and some low-sodium Campbell’s soup. Updated on 5 Dec 2018: So I completed my preliminary bloodwork and got price quotes for my prescriptions that will need to be filled. December 20th couldn’t come sooner. Updated on 24 Dec 2018: Super groggy but I survived. I’ll update you all later when the pain wear off . My throat is pretty sore tbh. I’m already hungry even though this is not supposed to give me much of an appetite . My throat feels the same way when I got my wisdom teeth removed Updated on 24 Dec 2018: Dr. Ghafoori is a wizard! Took a little peek after my nap and she did absolutely amazing! Updated on 25 Dec 2018: So pleased with the results.looks a lot better than I anticipated! Updated on 25 Dec 2018: Had trouble uploading. Arnica tablets and cream definitely helped me out here Updated on 26 Dec 2018: Still dealing with this ore throat but but body wise I just feel a little bit of soreness. Hoping to shave my legs today ???? Updated on 27 Dec 2018: So I stopped taking my pain meds yesterday and I must say, I don’t feel all too shabby. I am dealing with a lot of swelling today (I went a little overboard on the salt yesterday) and have scheduled my first lymphatic drainage massage this Friday. I have little to no bruising and I have to give a lot of credit to my surgeon’s technique and the arnica tablets/cream. I’ll update you guys as to how my massage goes tomorrow Updated on 29 Dec 2018: So I am back on pain meds because the swelling and tenderness after a day and a half off them made it super difficult to fall asleep. I did have my first lymphatic drainage massage yesterday and I think it helped tbh. The swelling has gone down quite a bit. I’m currently taking a quick break from my compression garment because it’s my pubic area swell. My bruising is little to none. Updated on 7 Jan 2019: So I’m completely off my painkillers and have had two lymphatic drainage massage sessions. As you can tell in the picture I’m still dealing with some swelling. The little bit of bruising I had on my neck has gone away, along with the major bruising in my pubic region. The far left picture is my before. The picture in the middle is a few hours after my procedure, and the picture on the far right is two weeks post op, which is today. Now I’m dealing with random hard spots under my chin and along my ribs,so I try my best to massage those out daily. Updated on 21 Jan 2019: So I hit the one month mark today. I’m back to my usual workouts that are virtually pain free at the month. I’ll admit this past week I ate I ate pretty lousy, but I did have a hectic week in my defense. I’m back on track and using my heating pads to try and rid myself of the hard lumps along my abdomen. Other than that, I’m continuing with lymphatic drainage massage to reduce some of the swelling quicker. Updated on 2 May 2019: So I’ve continued o lean out. With the exception of a couple starch irregularities I’m really loving my results. Hoping I lean out more as the months pass Updated on 2 May 2019:
First and foremost, I have to say that I am extremely thankful for this site. For as far back as I can remember, I've always dreamt about having bigger boobs. I never thought my dream would become a reality, but I am excited to say that I have already started the process! I have my consultation set up, and I couldn't be happier! I welcome any advice you have to offer! Thanks in advance! Updated on 17 Nov 2018: Here's a quick update: Surgery went well. The hardest part was waiting to be taken in to the O.R. lol. Surgery was at 9:45 A.M., and I was out in about an hour. So far, I feel great. Just a little soreness! Dr. Ghafoori and her staff, especially Stephanie, were all so amazing. They put me at ease the whole time. I'm hoping the rest of the recovery continues to go smoothly! Updated on 4 Aug 2020: This update has been a long time coming. I had not been on this site after I had my surgery because I suffered severe anxiety afterwards. I am finally at a point where I can check back in. For the most part, I'm extremely happy with my decision to have a BA. I'm coming up on my 3 year mark in November, and I have to say, it's been a journey...mentally. Physically, everything is great! My results are wonderful! My advice to anyone that is considering a BA that suffers from anxiety, is to be cautious and prepared. Did anyone else suffer from anxiety afterwards?
Dr. Ghafoori is the best! Had mommy make over this July and couldn’t be happier with results. Great beside manner....she gives it to you straight, no bs. Loved the fact that she sees you from the start. Had another consultation with another PS and had to see nurse first....didn’t like that much. Thank you Dr. Ghafoori for bringing sexy back to this 40yr old momma!!!!
Congratulations on your journey. An in-person exam will ultimately help determine whether you are a good candidate for a feminizing BBL, as well as the degree of improvement you might achieve. Looking at your photos, you are indeed quite lean, and your expectations would need to be adjusted accordingly. That being said, even a small amount of transferred fat, strategically placed, often can yield favorable results — in your case, since you have overall good buttock volume and shape, fat transfer to the hip dips, and possibly the flatter buttock area if additional fat was available, would be a priority. In reviewing your photos, it does appear that there are some fatty deposits, likely from the HRT, around the umbilical area that may be usable. Often, there are some hidden deposits in the axillary region, and it looks like you may have a little there, as well. Both of these sites would experience contouring benefit from the fat removal. There appears to be some fatty deposition in the inner thighs and upper hip-lower flank areas. These deposits are actually feminizing in an attractive way when they are not excessive, and removal would be counter to your goals. Another consideration, in isolation, or as an adjunct to a BBL, is a “non-surgical BBL.” This would entail the Off-Label use of a product (meaning the product is being used outside of the FDA-approved indications, and has not been investigated and deemed safe for the altered use by the FDA), called Sculptra, in which a micronized, powdered substance, similar to the make up of a particular absorbable suture used in surgery, is injected into the deeper skin/upper soft tissue level. The body’s inflammatory response to this ultimately substance induces collagen production, which may provide limited volume and structural support. Results do take months, and repeat treatments (as well as maintenance treatments) are usually required. Regarding whether one should gain weight prior to a BBL does not have a simple answer. No doubt, additional fatty deposits would give more treatment flexibility and optimize results and volume. However, the added weight may or may not accumulate in areas most conducive to liposuction removal. For example, being genetically male, a considerable proportion of the added fat could be deposited as visceral fat, which is internal and not accessible. Also, there may a disproportionate deposition in the flanks and chest area. The flank fat would be readily accessible to liposuction, but this fat tends to be more fibrous and may be of more inferior quality for fat transfer compared to other regions. Fat deposited on the sides of the chest would be good fat for removal, but likely fat on the from of the chest would be preserved to help maintain a feminine look. The other dilemma of pre-BBL weight gain is planned post-BBL weight loss to address the undesirable fatty deposits not conducive to weight loss. Any successfully transferred fat will be responsive to weight gain and weight loss, and the subsequent loss of volume is likely. Wishes for a successor surgery and a speedy, uneventful recovery should you decide to proceed.
Than you for sharing your photos -- I'm sorry to hear that you are having concerns related to your arm lift results. Once all of our swelling has resolved, and sufficient time has elapsed to allow the scar tissue to soften and remodel some, it is likely that your results can be improved with a revision of the area of concern. Depending on the presence of any fatty tissue, liposuction may be beneficial. However, it is likely that you would also need some additional focal skin excision. Whether a Z-plasty, a horizontal excision, or a combination/other combination would be needed, would best be determined by an in-person exam that would allow manipulation of the tissues in various directions and positions. Arm lifts, especially when one's condition requires an extended excisional pattern, can be difficult as there is often excess, lax tissue in multiple directions, natural zones of adherence may be stretched and weakened, natural landmarks may be blurred, contouring around a cylinder places unique stresses on the tissues, and much of the skin excision/scar placement is against the natural skin lines and orientation. Best of luck! Dr. Ghafoori
Thank you for sharing your photo and your concerns, Kuskany22. Some individuals are more ideal candidates for certain procedures than others. Often times, those who truly would benefit from a BBL simply don't have the optimal amount of donor site fat volume and/or good quality donor fat. That being said, depending on one's expectations, as well as one's acceptance of treatment limitations, a BBL may still be an option. I would recommend giving some though and consideration to the advise given by the consultant -- clearly he/she had concerns regarding the likely benefits versus risks/limitations. However, BBL is not accepted by all plastic surgeons, it a procedure that does carry some unique, serious risks, and it is also plausible that the surgeon you consulted shies away from performing BBLs, especially if the anticipated results would be more limited. Therefore, especially if you feel this might be the case, you might wish to seek a second opinion with a plastic surgeon who performs BBLs regularly.I have found in some cases that patients with limited fatty deposits still benefit from a BBL, providing they understand the limitations of reduced donor fat availability. I have also found, that repeat sessions in thin patients can yield very pleasing final results. There is no doubt that in the presence of loose skin, results are generally going to be maximized with a tummy tuck -- however, a patient must be committed to the scarring, increased activity restrictions, more involved recovery, etc. In certain cases, a tummy tuck and BBL may be performed at the same time. This combination, however, may result in a reduction of the final results, and/or an increase in the risks and the recovery period. There are several non-surgical BBL options. However, these options may be very costly, will likely require repeat treatment, and the results may be more unpredictable. Depending on the substance used, the risks may be less than surgical options or may be increased. Long-term experience with non-surgical BBL is also more limited. Best of luck to you! Dr. Ghafoori
Thank you for sharing your photos and your concerns, kstew1212. Choosing a surgeon is undoubtedly a daunting task. Looking at before and after photographs may give you an idea of what you might expect with any given surgeon. However, many physicians understandably are very selective about what photographs they display, and hence the photographs may not be fully representative of their work. Likewise, reviews may be both positively and negatively skewed. You offer very specific, and fairly consistent "wish" pictures. A first question is whether your expectations or "wish" is realistic. If so, the next question is whether the surgeon(s) that you have sought consultation are in alignment with your desires or not. Extremely important is your surgeon should have thorough training and experience in breast augmentation, as well as the treatment of any complications. Further, you will be in a relationship with your surgeon and his/her staff for some time, and therefore, it is important that you are comfortable with, and have confidence in, your surgeon and his/her staff. You might wish to consider returning for a 2nd consultation with one or more of the four surgeons that you have already seen -- I would encourage you to listen to what that surgeon(s)'s recommendation are for you, based on their examination of/discussion with you, and not to spend all of time requesting the surgeon refute or support another of the surgeon's opinions and recommendations. In looking at your photographs, it appears that you are a good candidate for breast augmentation. Because you are thin, aggressive attempts at correcting your asymmetries will likely yield different, but more noticeable asymmetries. Also, because you are thin, an "augmented" or fake appearance is a distinct possibility, and this is evident in your "wish" pictures. Selection of a smaller implant, avoidance of ultra high (and perhaps high) implant profile, placement under the muscle in a "dual plane," etc. help in obtaining a more natural appearance. When it comes to breasts, often times what is considered attractive is not necessarily truly "natural." Discussing what you really like and don't like in your "wish" pictures will significantly aid your chosen surgeon in determining the optimal implant type, profile , size, and plane options.Best of luck in choosing a surgeon that works for you, and I hope that you are able to achieve the results that you are hoping for, and that you have a speedy and uneventful recovery, should you proceed with breast augmentation! Dr. Ghafoori
Congratulations on your upcoming breast augmentation, Jubilant2138! It is great that you are doing your research and asking questions. Implant sizing can be very intimidating, as there are so many factors that go into determining an ideal size for each individual patient. Determining the contour you desire is as important, and perhaps more important, than final volume. It is certainly true that a moderate or a moderate plus profile will provide, in most cases, a more natural appearance. However, your wish pictures show a good deal of projection, as well as somewhat larger implant diameter -- the higher profile implant will accomplish an increase in projection most efficiently; with a lower profile, a considerably larger implant (along with a considerably larger diameter) is needed to achieve a similar increase in projection. A moderate plus profile implant often is a good compromise -- there is an increase in projection over the moderate/low profile, while not having as notable a corresponding increase in diameter. The breast base width is one of the many, albeit important, parameters that your surgeon may use in determining an optimal implant size for you. In many cases, particularly when there is limited pre-existing lateral fullness or when the lateral breast border is positioned sufficiently medial to the lateral chest wall border, a slightly wider implant diameter relative to the breast base diameter may yield desirable results. However, significant pocket dissection beyond the natural breast borders, as would be required with an implant with a much larger diameter than the breast base width, can result in a variety of disfigurations and/or cause very troublesome implant malposition. On a side note, cup sizes regularly do not correlate linearly with volume and often are determined more by the breast width relative to the chest circumference. In other words, a "D" cup in a 34 bra is narrower than in a 36 bra. Therefore, a wider implant, even if less volume, would result in the need for a larger cup -- although the center of the cup may not be filled out well.Your surgeon will be in the best position to help you decide the profile and size range that would be best for you, based on your physical exam as well as your desires. I hope you have an uneventful and speedy recovery and that you are able to achieve the results that you are hoping for. Dr. Ghafoori
