I wanted to get a breast augmentation because I missed feeling comfortable in my own skin. After 3 children and breast feeding them it left my breast unpleasant to look at through my eyes. Every time I took my bra off I felt as if I was taking my boobs off. I was ready to stop feeling this way and do something for me that will make me confident and happy; Which will make my husband and children happy for me.
I decided to go with Doctor Chad to perform my surgery after doing an extensive research on the best doctor in Nashville, I couldn’t be happier with my decision! Dr.Robbins is extremely talented, Helpful, Informative and will till you honestly what is gonna give you the best results, I had very very minimal pain and downtime, I went in with the mindset that i will be completely down for about 3 weeks, 1 week post op i was up and running around my house, The staff are extremely friendly and made me feel so comfortable every time I visited the clinic, Thank you so much doctor for the work you have for me! You are awesome.
Adding some photos from my boob job journey! Currently almost 9 weeks post op. I went to Robbins Plastic Surgery here in Nashville and everything was amazing. Great staff, absolutely wonderful doctor. Very happy thus far.
I have read posts on this site from women who've had a tummy tuck, but one side of their waistline protrudes after healing. For this reason, I am communicating my personal issue with this and what I know. I am 59 and have severe scoliosis in the thoracic region with a 14" Harrington rod (since the age of 12) lodged in my spine. Due to the scoliosis stunting my torso growth, I also have a very short torso between my ribs and hips. Because of both of these issues, I do not have an hourglass figure and a tiny waist like many women after having this surgery, but my waistline is so much more defined than before and I can wear form flattering blouses and dresses. Dr. Robbins and his staff are the Best of the Best. My body was a challenge for him and he was honest with me during the consultation. I couldn't happier with my results and I know Dr. Robbins did everything possible to give me the best outcomes for my body. His staff is amazing and took their time to educate my spouse and me before the surgery. After surgery (January, 2023), I was very comfortable during the healing process. If I ever decide to have another procedure, he is the only plastic surgeon I would consider. Thank you Dr. Robbins!
I have several procedures booked with Dr. Robbins for 6/19/23, so I figured I would start my review now!! I’m 4’11” tall. I’m a mom of 2 teenagers and have naturally birthed 2 full-term babies. After the birth of my second child 14 years ago, my weight crept up and continued to yo-yo for the next 12 years. In 2021 at a high weight of 251 pounds, I decided enough was enough and I started the process to have VSG. I had surgery on 4/21/22 and it’s honestly the best decision I’ve ever made. I worked so hard and am now down to 117 pounds and I feel amazing. However, I’m now left with sagging breasts and loose skin from my navel to my knees. I decided in February 2023 to start my search for a plastic surgeon, and I read reviews for every surgeon in Nashville I’m pretty sure! Dr. Robbins was my first consultation, and I knew right away he was my guy. I knew I wanted a breast lift, and I wanted to discuss my options for lower body lift or extended tummy tuck. I was totally open outside that and willing to take suggestions from him. His recommendation was breast lift with augmentation, lower body lift, and autologous glute augmentation, so that’s what we’re going with! My pre-op appointment is Monday, 6/4! I’m fully prepared, have a recliner being delivered for recovery, and now we’re in the final countdown! I’m hopeful I can return to work in 2 weeks since I work from home, but we shall see. I’m also updating on instagram at chayshapeshifts and have created a 0F with the same name to more transparently document my experience! Feel free to follow along! I’ll update after pre-op and throughout my recovery! Updated on 6 Jun 2023: Had my pre-op appointment yesterday!! Katie, Natalie, and Ashley were wonderful, as usual. Tried on some sizers, settled on something around 300 CCs which is actually larger than I thought I’d want to go, but I think I have a way better idea of what my goals are at this point. I picked up alllllll the meds from the pharmacy, paid for surgery, got my last few questions answered, and will be at the office at 6:15am sharp on 6/19, surgery starts at 7! Also, they’re going to film my procedures which I am THRILLED about, I can’t wait to see everything I’ll sleep through after the fact, LoL. AHHHHH WE ARE SO CLOSE!!!!!! Updated on 27 Jun 2023: Everything went great on surgery day! I arrived at 6:15, took a pregnancy test, talked to anesthesia, took a quick nap, and woke up around 3 on my couch. ???????? Truly the experience was wonderful and I am pleased with my results so far. Attaching pictures from the day of surgery. Updated on 1 Aug 2023: Everything was going great until 2.5 weeks post-op when I started to develop some wound dehiscence at my T-junction in my right breast lift incision. As soon as I noticed it, I reached out to Dr. Robbins' office. His team was super responsive and helpful and gave me great advice, and Dr. Robbins has been amazing since it began. I'm now 6 weeks post-op and seeing him weekly for support with healing-- he's been wonderful and reassuring. Of course it's no fun to deal with a slow-healing wound, but complications can happen, regardless of which surgeon you select and how skilled they are. I complied with all my post-op instructions and had an amazing surgeon, but you can never anticipate how your body might react to sutures, tape, medications, etc. Also, I had more than 60 inches of healing incisions after surgery-- complications with 2" out of 60" seems like a pretty great success rate, and I am very, VERY happy with my results. More than that, I am happy with the surgeon and team I selected-- Dr. Robbins has an incredible staff and I look forward to seeing them every week. Updated on 26 Dec 2023: I'm 6 months post-op and I feel great! My problem incision fully healed with Dr. Robbins' help by the 90-day mark. I'll be seeing Dr. Robbins the first week of January for a follow-up, I do have some concerns with the scar under my right breast and may need my areola adjusted on that same side (the side that had wound dehiscence), but otherwise I can confidently say that this surgery was the best thing I've ever done for myself and I'm very pleased with the results. Posting some real-life mirror photos, hopefully I can get my official before and afters from the office when I'm in next week.
I started researching mommy makeovers about 5 years ago. Dr. Robbins and his staff have been super supportive and honest about what I could expect. I had a tummy tuck and a breast lift with no implants. The post up pain was more than I expected, but it was manageable with the meds. As they said it would, it started getting better after a few days. I was back at my remote job after a week and while that was fine, I have been exhausted by the end of the day. It’s been 2 and a half weeks, and I still have a drain. I did have my belly button stitches removed at my week 2 appointment, and I’m thrilled with how it looks. Updated on 28 Apr 2023: Updating to add a before picture. I am not sure when I’ll be able to get my drain removed since I’m still getting around 50cc a day. It will be 3 weeks in a couple of days and I read that most people get drains removed by week 2. Ugh.
Dr. Robbins and his staff truly listened to my concerns and made me feel like I wasn't just another patient. I had a breast augmentation (saline, otm) in 2006 with another surgeon. While I was initially happy with the outcome, time and gravity made living with them unbearable. I had constant neck and back pain and finally got to the point where I knew I wasn't just having this procedure for aesthetic reasons. I did my research and liked what I had read about Dr. Robbins. I especially liked that he operates out of his own surgical center. The whole process is a lot smoother when you're not worrying about where you need to go, will there be parking, etc..a real game changer in Nashville! Obviously, this was not my ultimate reason for choosing him, but it certainly was a factor. I can honestly say this was a great experience all around and I would do it again in a heartbeat! The emotional part of recovery was the hardest. The pain was only substantial for about a day. If anything I would say I was generally uncomfortable for about 2 weeks. Nothing unbearable though. Was able to work from home just fine after week 1. Waited 2 weeks to drive. I'm now 3 months p.o. and other than a slight dog ear on each side (which I wasn't surprised by, due to the amount of excess skin removed) I am completely thrilled with my result. Will be going in another month to have dog ears removed. They're still sitting a bit high, but I know they will be perfect within a year. Patience is tough, though mandatory.
So I wanted to give it a year before I wrote my review because I was stalking realself for years before my surgery. I had a mommy makeover in January 2022. I had 4 pregnancies 1 set of twins. My breast have always been small I was a small B. I was between sizes 450cc and 500cc when I went into surgery and my doctor went with 465cc and I love them they are a perfect size for my body frame. Now to get down to it this is not an easy procedure I came home a few hours after surgery and was up walking around my house that night. DONT forget to take your medications I forgot to take the anti nausea meds and was vomiting the next morning. I couldn't shower until day 3 and I came home with a pain pump that I was able to remove on day 3 before my shower it was just very thin tubes the was inserted where the sternum is. Walking is going to help your recovery so much. I did develop a seroma and had to have that suction out at around 5 weeks. I was cleared to workout at 8 weeks and was able to stop wearing my compression garment around 12 weeks. Ab workouts were hard at first but the are getting better to do and the pain is lessening. I do feel like running has been made easier. I still have some fat that I may need to have removed because I'm not seeing it go away with diet and exercise and I noticed a buldge over my belly button. My doctor is amazing he was always listening to me and for a while I was having to go see him for once a week because of infection and the seroma. Updated on 12 Jan 2023: Uploading a few pictures. When I take more picture of now I will post them. I still have some areas of concern and will most likely be reaching out to my doctor next week to see about getting more lipo.
A LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCE! Dr. Robbins is amazing at his craft! I had a body lift and breast reduction at the age of 67 and the results are nothing short of astounding! This was truly a life changing experience. I am about 4 month post op and am in the process of scheduling another procedure with DR. Robbins. Updated on 21 Jul 2022: A LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCE! I'm going to finally have my trifecta of surgeries! I wasn't sure about doing all at once, but I'm hoping one recovery will be better than three. I'm getting nervous/excited. My surgeon has a great reputation and I know others who have had good experiences with him, so wish me luck! Updated on 17 Nov 2021: I seem to have lost a day. I had a Tummy Tuck, armlift, and bra line back lift. I can shower tomorrow, so hopefully I’ll add photos then. Moving around isn’t as hard as getting out of bed!
Hello and thank you for your question and photo. I don't recommend armpit incision , it is not as good of a result with that technique. The scar in fold is maybe 2" long at most and is most common due to better results overall.
Hello and thank you for your question . Very good surgeons , especially those who specialize in one area , can be very busy , but doesn't mean perfection . Breast augmentations are a simpler , under 1 hour surgery and sometimes are just easier to fit into the office for a consult. It is important that they be Board Certified and show a lot of before and afters on their website.
Hello and thank you for your question. Why don't you take care of the abscess before you have the augmentation? You will be able to go to dentist in future, no worries .
Hello and thank you for your question . Yes, they are the same , just used interchangeably. You may hear a breast lift with augmentation in which breast lift with implant is also the same.
Hello and thank you for your question. The best support bra's can be a post surgical bra like Mirena or sports bra's like running comfort or she-fit , however, you don't need to spend a lot of money on them if they are snug and have full coverage with a front clasp or zipper
