This is a very common question and concern for many women. Having your menses at the time of surgery does not impact the outcome. It is not uncommon for women to start their cycle at the time of surgery due to some stress or anxiety for the surgery. It is up to you whether to hold off until the tenderness subsides but going through the procedure during the cycle should be fine.
