I spent a decade wearing baggy shirts over my slacks and leggings so the flabby skin over a c-section scar wouldn't show. I literally changed my clothing style to hide the roll of skin on my lower abdomen due to the scar. A friend had a similar issue and told me Dr. Hodge had done an abdominoplasty. Her abdomen was now flat and she was thrilled! I immediately made an appointment and within two weeks I, too, procedeed with abdominoplasty. It was a quick and easy procedure with little to no post-op discomfort. My abdomen looks great. I am no longer self-conscious and have no need to hide my body behind baggy shirts. I CAN'T BELIEVE I WAITED A DECADE TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT THIS! Dr. Hodge has given me the confidence to wear stylish, form fitting clothes once again.
Dr. Hodge & team have a great bedside manner, answer any and all questions during, after and before your consult & surgery. Years of sun exposure, weight fluctuations and hormonal shifts led me to Dr Hodge for facial rejuvenation.
I was pretty unsure if breast implants was the way to go. I have always had small breast and wasn’t confident implants would give me the look I wanted. I was completely wrong! From my consultation, to my one week post-op appt., I couldn’t have been in better hands. Dr. Hodge was professional and knowledgeable throughout the process. He gave me advice with confidence, which made me feel comfortable and confident with my decision! I initially thought I wanted 455cc, however after the opportunity to try out new technology Monarch had recently received I ended up choosing 505cc moderate plus profile and over the muscle. The recovery has been a lot easier than I initially thought. The first couple days I had obvious soreness, but now I am only experiencing some sensitivity in the nipples and irritation as my scars heal. Overall, I am so happy with my results so far and highly recommend Dr. Hodge and Monarch Plastic Surgery!
Dr. Hodge and his entire team truly go above and beyond. During my initial consultation he was very attentive and patient. He and his staff helped answer my many questions and calm my anxieties. They took extra time to ensure I was receiving the best care. The actually procedure went very smoothly. Both Dr. Hodge and his nurse followed up to check on me and were highly responsive. Beyond outstanding care, my results far exceed what I expected. He is the best of the best and you’re in good hands!!!
Sorry in advance for all of these details/length of this, but I thought it may help someone that is like me and scouring RealSelf to see what peoples experiences were like. My breasts have always been my biggest insecurity about my body, as they’ve always been very small - and people would actually make comments on them to me, feeding into that insecurity. I didn’t feel feminine. I had thought about getting an augmentation for awhile, but kept telling myself I would do it after I had kids. Well, it was finally on my mind often enough that I decided to get a consult with Dr. Hodge after knowing a few women who have gone to him. I figured it couldn’t hurt to gather information. I was very nervous for it although I knew he did this every single day. All of my worries went away when he came in the room and started talking through the process, took his measurements and answered my (many) questions. He might be the most professional physician I’ve personally experienced. His bedside manner was phenomenal (he even laughed at my bad/nervous jokes) & he’s extremely respectful. One of the things I liked most about him was his ability to listen. My boyfriend was in the room with me, and Dr Hodge looked at/communicated with me the whole time - he recognized this was something for me, not for my boyfriend. I walked away feeling so confident in him and the procedure that I pretty much knew I was going to be scheduling a surgery date. I waited until the next day to get it scheduled, just to give it a day to think about it. I got scheduled just over a month from then and was anxiously waiting the day that I deemed at “B-Day” lol. Leading up to it I scanned real self and any other sites I could find to get people who were about my size (5’10” ~145lbs, athletic & barely a 34B in push up bras) to try and figure out my size, profile and whether to go under or over the muscle. At my initial consultation I was between 385ccs and 415ccs and was wanting to be about a full 34C and nothing too big for my body/that looked unnatural. I ended up deciding that I was going to go 415, high profile and under the muscle. The method was probably the toughest decision as I had heard people who workout a lot can have some issues with the pec muscle pulling the implant away from the midline of the body if they do a lot of lifting on the chest, but I was concerned that over the muscle would look too unnatural on me because I didn’t have a ton of natural breast tissue. Fast forward to the day of surgery and I’m soooo excited but also a little nervous because I’ve never had surgery before. I was also nervous for what I’ve seen people refer to as Frankenboobs - ha! It was easy, Dr Hodge told my boyfriend after the surgery that I’d be a little more sore for a couple of extra days longer because I was very muscular in my chest area. While I was a little sore, I was really impressed with how they looked even a day after surgery, I thought they’d look much more frankenboob-esq. They were definitely tight/sore for a few days, and I unfortunately had a business trip I had to take 5 days post surgery, which I wish I hadn’t had. What I wasn’t expecting was all of the little movements you don’t think about that you use your chest for you’re much more aware of post surgery. The only “bad” thing that happened, which he was more upset about than I was, was that the paper tape had some sort of reaction with my skin on the top of my breast, likely due to all of the stretching (the little pink marks above my nipples in the pictures). It really didn’t bother me much, I think Dr Hodge was more upset about it than I was lol. I started doing some light workouts (lower body) around 2 weeks post op, but before that I was just trying to get out and walk everyday at least a little bit. Around a month I started to incorporate some really light upper body stuff and pretty much get back to normal workouts depending how I felt, I plan on taking upper body slow for awhile just to make sure I don’t mess anything up. Now I am 7 weeks post surgery, measuring at a very full 34C, and loving everything even more as they get more into place. I barely even feel like there’s anything foreign in my chest anymore. The first few weeks you could definitely tel there was “something” there, but I don’t notice it now. Also, I have to give a huge shoutout to Kimber, she is amazing, she was soooo helpful through the process and answered all of my millions of questions. The first few weeks I took a lot of pictures to gauge progression, but I have slowed down with that quite a bit in the last month. My 1 day and 4 day post op pictures won’t upload for some reason.
Dr. Hodge is a genius! Just as important, he is such a nice man. I’m a lifetime patient for him after he did such amazing work and with great care. His entire office is so nice! Kimber is an angel sent from above! Bless her heart for the million emails she answered :) One thing you hear about Dr. Hodge is everyone loves him wherever you go. I can’t say enough good things about him and the entire office!
Dr hodge and his nurse Kimber are very informative and answered all my questions I had! I went in thinking I had to get under the muscle because that’s what I was always told because I’m a bodybuilder! Well Dr hodge was the first to tell me about animation deformity being caused by the implant being placed under the muscle! I knew about animation deformity but was told it wouldn’t happen if I went under the muscle! So he talked to me about abs told him he highly recommends me going with overs but made sure I know the risk of both. I appreciate him being so honest with me and having so much knowledge into helping me reach my goal and what I want! So I thank him so much for that! I got overs! And I’m obsessed with them! It’s only been 8 days and I’m amazed by how amazing they look! Healing process was such a breeze! I have not had any pain I haven’t used any pain meds or anything!! I highly recommend dr hodge at monarch plastic surgery! 385 cc overs HP sientra Updated on 22 May 2022: I couldn’t be happier with my sientra gel implants! I have over the muscle and I was a little nervous about feeling the implant and not feeling like a natural boob especially because I have thin and very tight skin! Well don’t worry because my implants feel so natural! I can’t feel or see my implants and they look so natural! I’m 1 month out and I know they will just continue to get better and look better! Updated on 14 Jun 2022: I’m really happy with how my boobs are looking! I got professionally fitted not by Victoria’s Secret and measure at 32 E (DD) Sometimes DDD depending on brand ! I couldn’t be happier they fit my body perfectly and I’m more proportioned with my body Updated on 25 Oct 2022: I started my journey for getting a breast augmentation 2 years ago. I had no luck and didn’t have a lot of good experiences so I put it off and thought maybe it’s a sign.. well 2 years later I started looking for surgeons again and I found Dr. Hodge at Monarch Plastic surgeons! He was very honest with me and was the only Dr that suggested getting OTM because of me being a bodybuilder and my fitness lifestyle! I’m thankful that he actually educated me about the cons of me going under the muscle and how I can develop animation deformity and lateral displacement! Everyone says you can’t have OTM if you don’t have enough breast tissue, but Dr. Hodge is very skilled and was 100% confident he can give me the look I wanted even though I didn’t have enough breast tissue! I’m 6 months po now and I’m still super happy with my results they look super natural and I can still train and lift heavy with zero complications! This was the easiest procedure, having a skilled surgeon definitely makes all the difference I would totally do it all over again lol! Thank you so much! Updated on 28 Apr 2023: Still happy with my results! I’m glad I found a surgeon who gave me exactly what I wanted! I have OTM (over the muscle) I have zero rippling, zero animation, no lateral displacement just overall perfection! I’m happy that I did this surgery it definitely boosted my confidence and helped me feel more feminine.
I am 32, and was a 34 D/DD when I was younger, but after kids, my breasts deflated. I have been wanting to get a breast augmentation since I was about 24, when I lost all of my post baby weight and was left virtually flat chested. I was recommended Dr. Hodge for a breast augmentation, as they said he was the best in the area. My experience goes in line with the many recommendations I received when looking for a surgeon! During consultation, he was very kind, listened to all of my questions and concerns, and was open with me about my anatomy, my wants, and what kind of results I should expect. His staff is all very friendly and helpful as well and answered any questions I had leading up to surgery. Surgery went without hiccup, and I am 16 days post op. My results are fantastic thus far! Both post op appointments I've had went well and Dr. Hodge and his staff explained everything perfectly, with warm, friendly attitudes. I was so nervous before starting this journey, and I really feel like I could not have picked a better surgeon. I am excited to see how my breasts settle and heal, looking like they did before I had kids!
I am about 4 weeks post op and am so happy with my results. I've been trying on all the clothes that never fit right before and can't wait to see how they change in the next few months. I got 275cc, Moderate Plus profile.
I visited their office in May and got my breast augmentation in June. My only complaint is when your in office looking at the implants make sure they show you the biggest size you can go. I didn't push my doctor to go bigger than 415 (this was the biggest implant shown to me in office). Initially I told my doctor I wanted to go as big as possible for my frame. Looking back now I could have asked for 450/485 CC's. My results look extremely natural and fit my body very well. I am 5'1 about 115 lbs for reference. If I would have gone bigger I probably would struggle finding bra's that fit. Im currently a DDD at Victoria's Secret. I'm really happy with the high profile and the overall results. I had no complications and I am very grateful for that. Kimber Dr. Hodge's Nurse practitioner responded to all my emails and questions very quickly. Dr Hodge specializes in high profile implants if you want that look, he is your go to surgeon. I did have stinging while in recovery because I went under the muscle. It's slightly uncomfortable but the pain does subside. Prior to surgery I was an B/C cup. Dr Keith Hodge said 200 CC's is roughly 1 cup size. I got 415 CC's high profile under the muscle. Also if you can't decide between two sizes opt for the larger size. Implants look smaller under the muscle and inside your body. 10/10 highly recommend Dr. Keith Hodge.
In the photos it appears that your nipples are above your breast crease, and you do not have any droop. So I would only suggest abreast augmentation to achieve a fuller look. Good luck!
If you are going to get a large implant, you may not even need a crescent lift because the augmentation will give a mild elevation of the nipple areolar complex. That way you could avoid the scar around the areola. Good luck!
I always tell my patients that the implant width should be slightly narrower than your natural breast width. As you get larger in volume, you get more lateral fullness (side boob), and you increase your risk for permanent changes in nipple sensation and numbness. Good luck!!
Based on your photos, I think the 275 cc implant will fit you very well. I assume since you don't like the rounded look, you are getting a moderate profile implant. This is a less projecting implant that will give you upper breast volume and a natural slope to the breast. Good luck!
Based on the photos, I would not suggest a lift. The Benelli procedure can make the areolas smaller and slightly elevate the nipple. The trade off is a scar around the areola. If you don't want that, the augmentation alone will slightly elevate the nipple as well. Good luck!
