Breast lift combined with ectopic breast tissue removal?

Can a breast lift and axillary breast tissue removal be performed simultaneously? Some say it’s best to do the two separately, some say it’s possible to combine them during the same surgery. Concern seems to be blood supply.

Staging the Procedures: Generally, it may be safer and more effective to stage the procedures. Removing the ectopic breast tissue first and then performing the breast lift after a period of healing (6-12 months) can offer better control over the outcomes.
Concerns about Blood Supply: One of the main reasons to consider staging the procedures is the issue of blood supply, particularly to the nipple-areolar complex. Removing ectopic tissue in areas critical to the blood supply can pose risks that might compromise the tissue's health and the lift's success.

Yes, a breast lift and axillary breast tissue removal can be done at the same time. Unfortunately, you have not provided photographs or told us your bra size. The breast lift technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained.

It is best however that you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to determine whether you can have several aesthetic surgeries in one session, as this would depend on various factors including but not limited to your general health condition, the type of anesthesia that will be used, and the type of surgeries that will be performed among others.

Performing both surgeries together is almost always safe.  Limiting undermining of the breast lift skin flaps and liposuction assisted removal of the axillary breast tissue maintains as much blood supply as possible.  If the axillary tissue is very large and would require a larger open incision to fully resect, then the blood supply concern would be more pertinent.  Best wishes.

Each plastic surgeon will make their own assessment, and sometimes it is dependent on a case by case basis.
On a young healthy straightforward case, these two procedures can most likely be done at the same time without difficulty.
On an unhealthy, elderly person requiring massive breast reduction it may be better to do these as separate procedures. Each provider will have their own preference.
As a general statement, I would say they could be done at the same time without excessive undue risk.
