Can a breast lift and axillary breast tissue removal be performed simultaneously? Some say it’s best to do the two separately, some say it’s possible to combine them during the same surgery. Concern seems to be blood supply.

Answer: Breast lift I have done those procedures together a few times without any problems. It’s up to each individual surgeon whether to do it at the same time or separately

Answer: Combining the surgeries is safe. Performing both surgeries together is almost always safe. Limiting undermining of the breast lift skin flaps and liposuction assisted removal of the axillary breast tissue maintains as much blood supply as possible. If the axillary tissue is very large and would require a larger open incision to fully resect, then the blood supply concern would be more pertinent. Best wishes.
