Dr. Maier was professional and immediately put me at ease during my initial consult. He listened to my issues and felt confident he could give me realistic results for a breast reduction. Surgery was a breeze and the entire staff was attentive and caring. I am thrilled with my results and would recommend Dr. Maier Plastic Surgery group to anyone interested in a breast reduction. Thank you, Dr. Maier!
Dr. Maier is fantastic! I had extra skin/fat in my abdominal area after weight loss. He removed the excess skin and also did liposuction. He was very thorough in the examination and my medical history as well as my family history. I am amazed at how much easier I move. Highly recommend Dr. Maier!
I had a “mini tummy tuck” done with Dr. Joel Maier at Advanced Laser and Cosmetic Surgery in Cincinnati, Ohio. The procedure consisted of removing excess skin (skin incision) on the lower ab and lipo on the entire ab region. It’s been three months and I’m simply thrilled with the result. I didn’t think it would be this amazing! Dr. Maier and his team are simply the best! My entire experience has been extremely positive. Dr. Maier was very accessible and his team is down-to-earth and super helpful. I would highly recommend Dr. Joel Maier, his team and this entire practice to anyone!
Dr. Maier and his staff are very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. Dr. Maier personally called to check on me post-op. Pain was minimal and easily controlled. I love the results! I feel much more connected to my core. I did rent a lift chair and used a walker for the first week which helped with getting up for the bathroom. Also, preparing about a week of meals ahead of time is a good idea.
At 52, I finally got a breast augmentation and I love the results! I had zero hesitation booking my augmentation with Dr. Maier after our initial consult. I didn't want to be huge. Just a natural fullness to regain what I used to have prior to nursing 3 babies. I initially settled on 325 saline implants. During the surgery Dr Maier said the left breast was looking strange at 325 so he settled on 310. They are perfect. Literally, not even my grown children have noticed!!They look so natural. We just got back from a beach vacation and this was the first time in my life I felt sexy in a bikini. Even better in a one piece suit! All of my clothes just look better without having to go to great lengths to add padding. I was able to toss out a ton of padded inserts in all my workout bras, tank tops and bathing suits. Love it and highly recommend Dr Maier! One more thing which is so tiny but meant a lot to me...when getting prepped for surgery I was offered disposable underwear!! I am very private so that made me VERY happy!
I am 2 weeks post-op full tummy tuck. I didn't have a lot of loose skin, so I have a small vertical scar. I did have a very wide and long separation of my rectus muscles. Dr. Maier did a fantastic job! He used a long acting pain medication around my abdomen. After the first day, I didn't need anything stronger than Advil. I feel fantastic, 10 years younger! My core muscles feel so connected and stable. I didn't realize how my activities were impacted until I had this done. I wish I would have done it sooner! Dr. Maier is very down-to-earth, caring and honest. He helps you be realistic in what you can expect before, during and after surgery. He called me the day after surgery to check on how things were going. If you are considering tummy tuck surgery, I highly recommend Dr. Maier!!
Dr. Maier listened to my concerns and did not push additional services. He was gentle, reassuring and accessible by cell phone and email. He prepared me with what to expect with my final result and I am extremely happy with the outcome. My healing was incremental and took a solid 9 weeks but was on track for the procedures and my age (55). The scarring is continuing to heal. I look and feel remarkably better in my cloths as my heavier, larger sagging breasts always made me feel uncomfortable. The lipo around the bra roll is a must in combination with the breast lift.
I would highly recommend Dr. Maier. He was very professional and I could not be happier with the end result! He did not over sell you, or encourage you to do more. He was very straightforward and I could not be more pleased.
Dr. Joel Maier was the third plastic surgeon with whom I had a consultation and I knew he was the one I wanted to go to after meeting with him. I researched this procedure for almost a year and finally felt ready to get it done. I was nervous but he and his staff made me feel comfortable, informed and were there to answer any question I had pre and post operation. I love my results. The downtime/soreness is 100% worth it. If I ever need a revision, I will happily go through with it again and with Dr. Maier.
I had been researching gynecomastia surgery since about my freshman year in high school, and after almost 10 years of wanting to do it, I finally got to a point in my life where I could go through with it. After having a couple phone conversations with a couple different doctors, I set up a consultation with Dr. Maier at Advanced Cosmetic Surgery and Laser Center. He has been very professional and understanding from day one. Originally I was looking at just having the gynecomastia gland removed, but Dr. Maier also recommended liposuction. I was hesitant to do that, and originally scheduled my procedure for just gland removal, but at the pre-op appointment just 2 days before the procedure, Dr Maier still felt that lipo was necessary for me to get the results I wanted. I need to point out that while he insisted multiple times that I would benefit more from lipo than just from gland removal, I never felt that Dr. Maier was pushing me into something I didn’t want to do. After more thought, I realized that even while I was very physically fit in high school, I had been troubled by fat deposits in my chest that I couldn’t get rid of. I decided to trust Dr. Maier’s instincts and expertise and agreed that gland removal and lipo together would be best for me. His team was also able to work with me on pricing and gave me a great package deal for both. I arrived at 6:30 A.M. on the day of the procedure. I was initially a little nervous upon arrival, and at one point I got extremely light headed during the pre-op procedures, but the whole team was very professional and accommodating. Once I actually got into the operating room, I felt completely relaxed and at ease. The surgery went through without any issues. Post op care has been fantastic as well. I had some slight trouble with one of the small lipo incisions closing up, but I was able to discuss it with Dr. Maier through text messages and he was quick to respond on how to take care the incision. At the one week follow up, he cleaned the area and advised further on how to manage it. By the end of the second week, it was no longer an issue. There was naturally some stiffness and soreness for a few weeks afterwards, but the compression vest helped greatly limit the pain. My wife had to assist me in removing and putting on the vest for about 3 days, but I was able to return to work 5 days after the procedure with just mild discomfort (had procedure on a Wednesday, returned the following Monday). After about 3 and half weeks, I was able to buy second a compression vest that was a little less restricting but still held everything firmly. I wore the compression vest daily (except for when I showered) for 8 weeks, so I had very minimal discoloration from bruising and the swelling was never excessive. The only thing I experienced long term discomfort with was sleeping. I slept flat on my back for the first 3 to 4 weeks, partially because I was worried about moving too much early on in the recovery. Once my fully range of motion came back without any discomfort, I was able to sleep normally again, even while wearing the compression vest. I’ve just had my 3 month follow up, and I couldn’t be happier with my results so far. From a mental-health stand point, I can’t express how much this has done for me. Previously I couldn’t even sit in my own house without constantly thinking about the appearance of my chest, and that is not an exaggeration. It was on my mind literally every second that I was awake and had been for almost a decade. I had so many shirts I had gotten from family members for Christmas and birthdays that I wouldn’t wear because they didn’t do enough to hide the puffiness of my chest. Since about the 5 week mark after surgery, I’ve worn probably every single one of them because I no longer have to worry about how my chest looks in them. I’ve been working out regularly for almost a month now, so I’m very excited to see where I’m at in another 3 months. I would recommend Dr. Maier to anybody considering this procedure. I am very glad I listened to his instincts about having the lipo as well as I think that has done wonders for the overall results.
Yes, liposuction can help flatten that area. However, if there is extra skin, you may need a small skin tuck to help make as flat and tight as possible. Thank you.
Yes, I think revision umbilicoplasty will significantly help 1) hide the scar 2) make it smaller. This can be done with local. I would not hesitate to proceed. Thank you.
I think very wise to stick with a low profile small implant. Otherwise, implants can look unnatural and not proportionate. 140-170 will be good volume I would think, either one. Thank you.
The only procedure that addresses diastasis is a full abdominoplasty. All other modalities address the skin and fat, but not the muscles.
You are a good candidate for a reduction mammoplasty. This will lift and reshape your breasts with the new breast mound shaped above your inframammary fold. This is one of my favorite procedures as the satisfaction rate is high. I would not hesitate to proceed. Regarding the "hip dip" area, liposuction of the hips will significantly help the transition in that area. I hope this helps, thank you.
