Thank you for your question regarding whether an inferior buttock lift would be beneficial to you. Based on your pictures, you need a buttock lift. The best buttock lift for you would be an incision across the top of the buttock. This would extend from the buttock crease out towards the hips. This would lift the buttock and eliminate the skin wrinkles of the buttock as well as the inferior gluteal fold where the buttock meets the upper posterior thigh. This would lead to your best buttock lift. However, if you cannot live or cope with the incision on the top of the buttock, then I would suggest an incision on the bottom of the buttock. This would be in the inferior gluteal fold. An incision would be made in the crease in between the buttock and the posterior thigh. A crescent area of skin and fat is removed from the lower buttock. This would eliminate a lot of the excess skin and fat of the lower buttock, but would not lift the buttock as much as the aforementioned, superior incision buttock lift. Therefore, your best option would be a superior incision buttock lift, but if you cannot deal with the scar, then I would suggest an incision under the buttock. Well it depends upon what you’re trying to achieve with your buttock contour. A side profile photo would be best to evaluate for any lower buttock tuck benefits. If you feel you have loose hanging or droopy skin or a poorly defined buttock-thigh junction then a lower buttock tuck can be very beneficial. Also if you feel like the back of your thighs has loose wrinkly or cellulite looking skin, a lower buttock tuck can also help tighten and smooth out this area as well. This is not a commonly performed surgery by many board certified plastic surgeons so you may have to travel far to one that has ample experience in this procedure. Glad to help
An inferior buttock lift would probably yield the best result. An incision is made in the natural gluteal fold (the line under each buttock) and several inches (7 cm) or more from the inferior buttocks, and another several inches (7 cm) from the posterior thigh can be removed. This procedure can produce dramatic improvement in buttock shape and smoothness as well as skin laxity and the appearance of cellulite. Consult with a board certified plastic surgeon who performs this procedure often with great patient feedback.
Hmmm... I think from the pictures provided that certainly could be one approach. I would definitely get an inperson consultation though. Confirming few exact aesthetic goals would definitely need to be done. With any BBL though, please be careful. Best and safe results for buttock surgery come form the a properly trained board certified plastic surgeon with the right instruments. Best Wishes!!
Hello, thank you for your question and provided information as well..Based in your question and the pictures you showed, you are a great candidate for that procedure. If you already had a BBL, you could get a BBL revision, this would give you great results too! This decision should be based on a detailed discussion with equal input from both you and your surgeon. Best of lucks.Dr. Luis Mejia.
