Get the real deal on beauty treatments—real doctors, real reviews, and real photos with real results. Here's how we earn your trust.
Based purely upon your photos and not an in person physical exam, you may be better off playing it safe and avoiding any surgical treatment for your particular lower buttock double crease. The success rates for this are quite low and the complication rates relatively high making the situation worse. Thus, the risk:benefit ratio high and not worth it for patients with your limited double crease variation. Glad to be found.
Hello, thank you for your question. Scar release with fat grafting can improve that area. I would make sure that you see many before and after pictures of high quality results and many good reviews as you select your board certified plastic surgeon.
Dear DGZ27,It is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Asymmetry and small deformities of the gluteal crease can be a perplexing problem to both Patients and Plastic Surgeons. These are either due to previous surgery or just appear naturally. The best approach in this case is to perform equalization and fat grafting to the crease in an attempt to obliterate it. Hope this helps. Best regards
gluteal skin increase forms the same way a skin folds on the lower abdomen when we sit down. In a standing position the skin on the back of the thigh is pushed up into the lower buttocks. The scanner in the back of the file has a lot of connective tissue making it more rigid than other areas. Similar to the skin in the palm of the hand compared to the back of the hand. As the skin is pushed up into the buttocks in a standing position it forms a fold in some people. It is primarily an issue of skin but in reality it's not an issue at all it is simply the way your body is. If you lean forward the skinfold will go away because the skin is put under my attention. Inexperienced plastic surgeons what time times attempt to treat this with liposuction with poor outcomes bordering on disastrous outcomes. Other silly people try things like injecting filler. I would strongly advise you against any surgical intervention and encourage you to accept your body as being stunning, beautiful and normal. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
Minor fat grafting could help even out the small deformities of the gluteal crease. Consult with a plastic surgeon for an in person evaluation. Best wishes.
