Thank you for your question. Bruising and swelling are potential risks with surgery of any kind. By now, you should have visited your board certified facial plastic surgeon. The in-person evaluation should provide you direction about your current state and the post op care to improve your recovery.Best wishes,
Patients with questions and concern about their neck lift early recovery process should contact the plastic surgeon that performed the procedure to address these concerns and determine if there is need any need of management
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, you will need more than just the photos to tell. I recommend seeing your plastic surgeon ASAP to evaluate wound healing. Best of luck!Dhaval M. Patel Double Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Hoffman Estates Barrington Oakbrook Chicago
It's difficult to tell from your photo. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with your surgeon and if necessary, treatment. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Its hard to tell based on the photo. Please see your surgeon to make sure you have no underlying fluid/blood collection or infection.
Definitely see your surgeon to assess your wound and your neck. The internet isn't the place to handle a fresh postoperative issue.
Bruising and swelling are pretty typical following most neck lifts. By now you have probably seen your surgeon and they can answer your questions, always the best source of information early in the post op period. I always urge my patients to call me with any concerns and have them come in early for a check to make sure there's no significant problems.
Thank you for your question. It is quite difficult to tell and don't think it is wise to evaluate solely based on the photos you provided. There is always a significant risk of excessive bruising and swelling after a neck left. There is a great deal of undermining (freeing up skin) that must take place to perform a successful surgery and this technique leaves you very prone to bruising and therefore swelling. I would follow up with your surgeon for a proper in-person evaluation. Best,Ariel Ostad MD PC
A neck lift is a surgery to improve the area under the chin and along the jawline. There can be a lot of swelling and bruising in some patients. It takes time to get better. I like to see neck lift patients on a frequent schedule in the beginning so I can evaluate them in person. If there are any issues or questions, I have them come in for a spot check. Potential problems are easier when found early. Safety comes first.
It difficult to advise you based on this picture. It could be just swelling, or it could be a hematoma. You should call your physician's office and be seen if you're concerned about healing or complications.
A neck lift can absolutely be performed under local anesthesia. At my practice, I perform a lift procedure that requires only local anesthesia. This lift is recommended for patients who are showing earlier signs of jowling and excess skin, but is not recommended if you have significant jowls ...
"These are all natural parts of the aging process. What we can do is try preventative treatments or get a neck lift / face lift earlier in the aging process. There are numerous non-surgical options available, and some can be used in combination to get best outcomes, but you would need a...
Thank you for your question. It would be helpful for you to remain patient and allow your recent procedures time to take effect. It may be due to over-correction. Please remain patient and always consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon. Best wishes,
