Platysmal bands post surgery caused by internal scar tissue or over-correction? (Photo)

Platysmaplasty w/ lipo 5 months ago, still have a prominent band midline upon rest. 2 rounds of botox, silicone sheets and massage provide no improvement. PS thinks it's muscle scar tissue causing tenting (incision scar looks great.) Wants to f/u with steroid injection, I'm concerned with skin thinning. Band is more pliable than 2 months ago, still very tight. Is this a case of over-correction or over active scar tissue? 33yo non-smoker, these are obviously not the results I expected.
