I wanted a little lift, asymmetry, and some volume in my face. Unfortunately I do not have any photos as I had this done about three years ago or so when Dr. Simon was practicing in Santa Monica. Dr. Simon was a total gentleman, he listened to everything I had to say, answered all my questions, and explained everything he would be doing. He filled in my hollowed temples gave me higher fuller rounder cheekbones, and corrected the asymmetry in my face. The outcome was a more youthful rested look! I was very impressed with outcome! In the past I had seen another doctor for voluma but my cheekbones were made to look too angular. Dr. Simon made sure to give my cheekbones a rounded natural look! During the procedure I did not experience any pain and I had no bruising. I am an easy bruiser so I was pretty shock in the days to follow that I looked fine. I wish he was still here in the Los Angeles area. Chicago, you are lucky to have him!
Voluma provided a very natural look that heightened my cheek bones and provided definition without altering the shape of my face. I would definitely the injections recommend it to anyone who has flatter cheeks and is looking for more definition. I am very excited to see how they last over the next two years!
I have always had a problem with lack of volume in my tear troughs and after a consultation my doctor recommended I would need about one syringe of Belotero and that definitely did the trick. I attribute my lack of tunneling, swelling and most importantly bruising, to his precision and gentle attention and also choice of product over other fillers for this area, and will definitely continue Belotero treatments with him as needed - which I understand can be anywhere between 3-6 months. Highly recommend this treatment.
Irishrose, It appears that you have done some thorough research and discovered one of the basic truths of plastic surgery: namely, that there are so many variables to healing tissues, particularly in a three dimensional structure like the nose, that even the most talented and most experienced surgeon could never guarantee a perfect outcome. My advice is to find a surgeon who can show you real outcomes that he or she has produced, find one who's personality is agreeable with yours, and set your expectations toward something achievable. Then you can be overjoyed with an outcome that approaches perfection, satisfied with one that achieves your goal, or finally have a good personality to work with if a revision is necessary. Best of luck.
An examination would be necessary to give you treatment options with confidence, but often these small dorsal irregularities can be smoothed out under local anesthesia in the office.
It is difficult diagnosis with certainty without examining the nose, but you appear to be developing supratip fullness. This has been callously named "pollybeak deformity," and is well described postsurgical phenomenon usually secondary to excessive scar formation in the supratip. I would suggest you seek evaluation by your surgeon. At 2 months a simple treatment with steroid injection can stop and reverse the process.
For a cash price that is reasonable. Ptosis surgery can also be covered by insurance. I would recommend having your visual fields tested by an Ophthamologist. If the fields are restricted by your ptotic eyelids, then most insurance companies will pick up the tab.
It difficult to advise you based on this picture. It could be just swelling, or it could be a hematoma. You should call your physician's office and be seen if you're concerned about healing or complications.
