Without pictures or seeing you in person it is difficult to give you specific recommendations. However, the following scenarios and procedures may be helpful.1. Isolated vertical (up and down) bands on your neck when you grin: Botox of the bands can be very helpful.2. Full neck, double chin: Submental liposuction or Kybella treatments may be a good option.3. Fine lines and slight looseness: Ultherapy and laser resurfacing, radio frequency treatment (Sublative) or chemical peel may be a good option. 4. Loose Skin that requires you pushing back with our fingers towards your ears to simulate the results you would want: Lower facelift or neck lift is likely the best option. In any case, you would need to schedule a consultation to examine your anatomy and review the procedures which would be best for you.
treatment options vary from non invasive technologies like Ultherapy to surgical intervention. It all depends on how bad your neck is. Post pictures or give more information about what you have going on and what you have heard of or tried and I can help further.
A surgical neck lift is an excellent way to look younger, as the neck is often the first thing to go. Typically patients who experience skin laxity of neck region as well as jowling of the lower face are excellent candidates for this procedure. A neck lift can leave you with a sharpened jawline, decreased jowling, and smooth skin of the neck, thus returning your youthful appearance. Commonly performed in my accredited surgical facility, I perform neck lifts where I hide the incisions in the crease behind patients’ ears. This approach allows patients to wear their hair back without anyone noticing any telltale signs of surgery. In regard to such non-surgical approaches like Ultherapy, Botox and fillers, I have found that unless you have very subtle signs of aging, the surgical approach is the most effective. Fillers can disguise "necklace lines" (the horizontal lines across the neck) and Botox can soften platysmal bands. But for a truly sagging neck, surgery is the best approach. I have also found that Ultherapy is painful for patients and the results are not impressive when compared to surgery. In addition, Ultherapy can cause internal scarring that makes future surgery more difficult.
Thank you for your question. There are many procedures to treat a saggy neck including Ultherapy, Thermage, fillers, and permanent surgical procedures. This is a tough question without seeing pictures. In office consultation by a well-trained, board certified surgeon is key. In my practice, we offer a range of services that are non-surgical in nature to surgical corrections. My philosophy is to provide the least invasive procedure to obtain the greatest result. Ulthera, Kybella, coolsculpt, thermi, short scar facelifts, extensive face and neck lifts, etc.Best of luck!
Thank you for sharing your question. There are a variety of treatment available to help treat the aging neck, however this depends on the severity of the sagging you are experiencing. Currently, the gold standard when treating this area is the surgical neck lift. While a true surgery, this procedure will offer the best and longest lasting results available. However, surgery is not always right for everyone. As an alternative, ThermiTight is a minimally invasive, non-surgical treatment that utilizes heat and radiofrequency to tighten the tissues of the neck. This procedure is done under local anesthesia and has little/no downtime associated with it. These are just some examples of treatment options but there truly is a wide range of alternatives. For more information, I recommend scheduling a consultation with a board-certified specialist who has experience treating the neck.
Thank you for your question. There are some non surgical procedures such as botox however most patients will opt for surgical procedures. Neck rejuvenation or neck lift surgery is one of the most popular cosmetic surgery procedures. For those who have excess fat under the chin but still have good muscle tone and skin, liposuction of the neck will be sufficient. If the skin has lost elasticity, removal of excess skin (Neck Lift Surgery) to tighten and tone the neck will also be required.Tightening of the platysma muscle (also known as platysmaplasty) will require a small incision under the chin away from direct view to gain access to the front edge of the muscles on the neck; they are sutured together with permanent stitches. The muscles of the neck are the foundations and building blocks of the neck and are fundamental to achieving a tight and toned result.Combination of neck lift, neck liposuction and Platysmaplasty can be performed to tighten the neck, reduce the volume of the neck that tends to give the appearance of a double chin and to smooth out the lines and wrinkles that are visible as the early signs of aging.Neck surgery can be performed under local anaesthetic and does not require any drains or bulky bandages. Please make sure you find a reputable and qualified plastic surgeon who can assess you properly to give you a realistic idea of what outcome you can achieve. All The Best
The sagging neck can be treated with a range of surgical and non-surgical options that would depend on the severity of the situation. This would best be determined during a consultation with a plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
Thank you for your question. There are a range of treatments available to treat sagging skin. A surgical procedure known as a neck lift is often considered should the concern of the patient be excess skin laxity in the neck. Best to seek an in-person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck.
