How do I make my nose smaller and less pointy?

The woman in the short video posted with this answer had her tip brought closer to her face with a rhinoplasty. That's called "de-projecting" the tip.Be sure to read the section in the "Learn more" link on how to stay out of trouble while searching for a rhinoplasty surgeon. You should only have surgery if you are able to make yourself very confident in your surgeon's skills. Read that page very carefully. Most plastic surgeons are quite poor at this operation, and I believe my advice will go a long way toward keeping you safe.

The features that you describe can adjusted to achieve a smaller nasal size with  a reduction of tip  projection. It would be useful to see some photographs. Depending on the degree of tip projection it is likely that you would need an open rhinoplasty. At the same time the shape and configuration of the nasal tip cartilages can be adjusted to achieve a more rounded tip appearance. However, these decisions need to be made at a consultation . I would recommend seeking the opinion of an experienced rhinoplasty surgeon

best advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation.  Based on
your description, you may benefit from a nasal tip deprojection to decrease the projection of your nasal tip.  Make sure you specifically look
at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery
performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results.   The most
important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend
that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who
can evaluate you in person.

A rhinoplasty (nose job) is an operation that alters the shape of the nose. Tip plasty can achieve that with reducing the excess cartilage and making it smoother at the tip area. However if there is large hump that will need to be removed at the same time. RegardsDr. J

Thanks for your question.  Wish you had submitted some photos to really give you an accurate assessment.  Regardless, your desires are very common in rhinoplasty patients.  Making the nose smaller and less "pointy" are easily performed sometimes in a closed fashion but more commonly in an open approach. I recommend you consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty.  Some plastic surgeons will even do a free virtual consultation online! They will discuss your goals, examine you, show you simulations of what your nose would look like after surgery, and go over before and after pictures of other patients so that you get a better idea what type of result you can expect to get. Rhinoplasty might help, but Without an exam, it will not be possible to fully evaluate you and give you recommendations. Be sure to discuss your goals and concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon and consider the pros and the cons.
