After the rhinoplasty I noticed that my nosetip is very high en that my nosestrills show too much giving me a snout. Will it drop down? I'm Scared that I Will keep looking like a pig. Pictures are 2 weeks after the operation

Answer: Rhinoplasty result Early on after a rhinoplasty, the combination of the cartilage position and swelling can be artificially high and may come down with time. It depends a lot on how the surgery is performed. I prefer to have the rhinoplasty look the way it should right off the bat. I like the control aspect of it. I would touch base with your plastic surgeon but I suspect he/she will say that it is very early after your surgery and thing will change with time.All the best,Dr. Remus Repta

Answer: Post op concerns Thank you for sharing your question. Yes, I believe that the nose will probably drop some once completely healed. Two weeks is still very early, and I suspect that a more final result will be appreciated around the 6 week to 3 month mark, although it could take over a year in some cases. Hope that helped!
