Is it safe to have a root canal 4 days before my rhinoplasty surgery? i am very worried i started having the pain on my tooth that has a filling.I had this filling 2 yrs ago.

It is not advisable to do this as a complication related to root canal such as infection might effect your nose surgery. Give a month in between. RegardsDr J

Though everything may go well there is no "guarantee". It may be prudent to wait around 3 to 4 weeks after your root canal procedure before undergoing a rhinoplasty. You should also discuss this with your rhinoplasty surgeon.Steven Turkeltaub, MD

In case there are complications from the root canal, it might postpone your nasal surgery. Probably best to separate both procedures by a few weeks to allow full healing between procedures.

I would recommend you wait 4 to 6 weeks following Rhinoplasty to have the root canal.  Best wishes!
