I have deviated nasal septum because of an accident that occurred 12 years ago .i have trouble in breathing . I am not satisfied with appearance of my nose .its wide and slightly tilted .what is the approximate cost of rhinoplasty and septoplasty . I don’t have any Medical cover .
Answer: What is the average cost for rhinoplasty and septoplasty? Hi, and thank you for your question. The cost of your rhinoplasty and septoplasty will depend on a number of factors including your location, your surgeon’s experience level, the amount of work you will require, and the difficulty level of your surgery. A board-certified facial plastic surgeon would need to evaluate you in-person and perform all necessary scans to determine your internal anatomy and recommend surgical options. Since you have difficulty breathing in addition to purely cosmetic concerns, your insurance will likely cover a portion of your total costs. A cosmetic procedure performed at the same time as your septoplasty seems to make the most sense, but schedule an in-person consultation with a board-certified facial plastic surgeon in your area for a comprehensive recommendation. Good luck! - Jacqueline T. Cheng, MD

Answer: Rhinoplasty Price Rhinoplasty prices vary greatly because the rhinoplasty procedure itself encompasses a wide range of techniques that can be performed to different extents. Therefore the cost range is pretty wide from $6000-$12,000. My recommendation is to first find qualified surgeons that are board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery or the American Board of Otolaryngology. Find one or two surgeons you trust, then compare prices between them. Factors that influence the price include: 1. Location - Will it be performed in a hospital with an overnight stay, an independent out- patient facility or a doctors office? 2. Type of Anesthesia - IV sedation or General Anesthesia? Will a board certified anesthesiologist or a nurse anesthetist be used, or an RN? 3. Experience and training of your surgeon. The best trained (and longest) would be a surgeon board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, but also consider American Board of Otolaryngology trained surgeons 4. Length and Complexity of Surgery - Tip Rhinoplasty only or complete rhinoplasty, open or closed technique, deviated septum repair,or breathing problems corrected, , how long, ?etc

Answer: Cost for rhinoplasty Cost for rhinoplasty including the fee for the surgeon, surgical facility, anesthesia, and post operative care will depend on the city and surgeon. With that said it's best to set up a few consultations with different surgeons and make an informed decision based on their experience and speciality in the field. View their before and after photos to see what the outcome could potentially be.

Answer: Rhinoplasty and septoplasty Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photograph, you may benefit from a tip refining rhinoplasty. Septoplasty and spreader grafts can be performed at the same time in order to help improve breathing and straighten your nose. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and not just a computer animation system. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Reish, M.D. Harvard-trained plastic surgeon

Answer: Rhinoplasty Costs As you have fractured your nose and have nasal deformity and nasal obstruction, you will be eligible for Medicare and Private health insurance rebates. In general, your hospital admission and operating room fees will be paid by your insurance fund, and your surgeon's and anaesthetic fees will be partially rebated by your insurance and Medicare. The overall cost will depend on the level of your cover, degree of your deformity and the changes you are after. The surgeon fee is dependent on their expertise and skill and this can be variable. It is best to see a specialist facial plastic surgeon who specialises in rhinoplasty who would be able to address both the functional and aesthetic aspects of your nose. Hope this is helpful.
