30 days post op Mini TT, BBL, and Lipo, shouldn't I see a dramatic difference by now?

Hello. Great question. I am sorry for your post op difficulties. Pre and post op images are needed to properly address your concerns. It can take 3-6 months for all the swelling to go down.

While I agree with other surgeons that you will not see your final results until you are 4-6 months post op, I would say that you should see some sort of a difference by now. Incisions can take more time to soften and relax. I would express your concerns with your surgeon. In addition, I would request to see your before photos so that you can compare. Thank you for your question. You should expect to have swelling for three to six months following your surgery. Use of a properly fitted compression garment will help decrease the length and severity of the post-operative swelling. As the swelling decreases, the contour of your abdomen, flanks, and hips will dramatically improve. Please follow your plastic surgeons specific advice regarding your level of physical activity. Dear memysha,tummy tuck and liposuction usually cause swelling. Sometimes it can take a longer period of time for swelling to completely resolve. Given you are only 1 month out from surgery I would say be patient and evaluate your results when you are 4-6 months out from surgery.  Incisions are commonly firm and will soften over time.  Although I don't see your before photos, you have to consider that a mini tummy tuck is usually skin removal +/- muscle tightening in the lower abdomen.  This is a minimal procedure and reserved for minimal extra skin and minimal muscle laxity.Having said that, give it some time and allow the healing to proceed and evaluate things at a later date.Hope that helps.

You are still early in your recovery. It can take up to six months for swelling to resolve and up to a year to see your final results. I know it is hard to be patient, but more time is needed. Continue to closely follow the post op instructions from your surgeon and keep her/him aware of any new concerns.

You did not post photos, so I cannot be specific. Do remember you are still very early in the healing process and do have swelling. Please post photos or visit with your surgeon.

The lumpiness, swelling, itching and hardness after a surgery like you had typically persists at least 8 weeks after the surgery then slowly goes away. In my experience, daily massage of the hard areas makes the biggest difference in getting rid of it sooner rather than later. It can easily take 6 months or more to see results. Your scars will usually flatten and fade between 9-12 months but can sometimes take closer to 18 months. Scar fading depends on your genetics. Be sure to keep any scheduled follow up appointments you have with your surgeons for his evaluation and advice. Hope this helps.
