Hi,Sometimes there are presence of scratch lines even in normal teeth and they need not be touched. If the scratch is esthetically compromising your look or you want it removed then a basic ceramic veneer will help. Regards
Hi,If your dentist does access preparation for the tooth away from the veneer site, then there is no need to repeat the veneers as they are not in the way of root canal. Only if the veneer gets damaged during root canal, they need to be changed. It is very difficult to remove the veneers and keep them intact as they almost always fracture.Hope this helps.Regards
Hi,Ideally a recently bonded tooth should not discolor so fast especially if you do not smoke and take care of your teeth by avoiding tea, coffee etc. There are a few reasons I can think of which can cause early discoloration:-Bonding agent applied over the composite filling gets discolored much faster than the normal polished composite. It helps in bonding the composite to the tooth not for camouflaging the repair work. If that is the cause, then the discoloration is caused by the bonding agent application on top.- incomplete curing with the curing light by the dentist/faulty light resulting in leeching of the resin and absorption of coloring agents from food and drinks.-rough surface of the filling/bonding agent/composite resulting in discoloration. In some cases polishing or shaving off the top layer may help in removing the discoloration but in other the fillings have to be redone.Hope this helps.Regards
Hi,After reading your query I suggest that you visit your dentist for the following:-Scaling and polishing: cleanup so that the hard tartar and stain get removed improving the overall hygiene of your oral cavity.-Fillings where ever necessaryThese procedures are almost painless due to advanced techniques and instrumentation.Chipping at the bottom of the teeth near the gum line maybe due to acidity or sometimes the hardish tartar which accumulates on the inside of the teeth near the gums also feels like chipped teeth leaving a rough surface. If its the latter then a clean up will resolve the issue. A thorough examination by your dentist is advised.
Hi,Ideally 3 weeks is enough time to recuperate after implant / graft placement and there should not be any difficulty while long distance flying.I would still recommend that you speak to your dentist about the same before the surgery.Regards
