About a year ago, after a very long process, I was finally diagnosed with type 3/stage 1 LIPEDEMA. I tried all conservative therapy and saw no results. I started looking for experienced surgeons that specialized in lymph sparing liposuction. Dr. Khalifeh was recommended to me, along with 3 other local plastic surgeons. Dr. K was compassionate and very knowledgeable. He explained to me, in detail, the realistic surgical approach we would take, not to mention the insurance process. I had my first surgery in September on my outer thighs and am extremely happy with the results. I will soon have my second surgery with him and feel confident I will be even happier this time. Doctors with his bed side manner and professionalism are few and far between. I feel grateful to be under his care.

Despite being nervous about the procedure, I underwent several consultations with different providers. This was the solution I had been searching for, and I felt inspired to take the leap towards a life-changing transformation.

Pre-Op
It's natural to feel nervous when going to the doctor's office for the first time, but it's amazing how other patients can make a difference. Day of Surgery: Part 1
On the day of my first surgery, I was understandably anxious. However, I followed all the instructions and eventually calmed down. Even though I was awake during the surgery, Dr. Khalifeh handled everything with such care and expertise that I felt safe throughout the entire procedure. Whenever I felt discomfort or something wasn't completely numb, he immediately stopped to ensure I was okay before continuing. The surgery was completed in just two hours, and afterward, I was fitted with pads and a compression vest. As I left, I felt a sense of hope, knowing that part two of the surgery was already scheduled and that I was on my way to a full recovery.

The first 24-48 hours
Despite feeling very sore for the first 24 hours, I was determined to keep pushing forward. I refused to let the discomfort hold me back and instead chose to power through it. And you know what? By the next day, I felt much better - tender, slightly numb, and stiff but pain-free overall. I even got up and tackled my household chores without skipping a beat. It shows that with a little bit of determination and perseverance, we can overcome any obstacle that comes our way.

Day of Surgery: Part 2
I approached the surgery with a sense of readiness, free from nerves. Despite the greater intensity on this side, Dr. Khalifeh was there to ensure I was always okay before proceeding. After two and a half hours, the surgery was complete, and I was fitted with pads and a compression vest. Before leaving, I was scheduled for my post-op, ready to take the next step toward recovery.

The first 24-48 hours
After the procedure, the first 24 hours were rough, and I felt very sore. However, I didn't give up and continued to push through. The following 48 hours were even worse, but I refused to let the pain defeat me. I took proactive steps to address it and called to refill my medication, which was ready within minutes. With another day of rest, I could feel myself getting stronger and better.

If you are struggling with gyno, I highly recommend considering surgery. The confidence that comes with feeling comfortable in your own skin is priceless. Dr. Marwan Khalifeh is an expert in his field and has a gift for creating a natural-looking male chest. I'm excited to continue healing, get back to working out, and see what I can achieve in six months to a year after all the swelling goes down. With summer just around the corner, I'm looking forward to feeling comfortable and confident in my own skin.

Everyone in Dr. Khalifeh’s office is so kind and proficient. Dr. Khalifeh took his time with me discussing the procedure I wanted done. I asked him about other procedures and he didn’t feel it would make such a difference on my small frame- I respected that. He could have easily told me he could do it and I’d likely be disappointed with those results.
