My personal experience with Dr. Dulin went well. His consultations are very fast so if this is something that makes you weary I understand, for my personality type it worked well. I mentioned I was hesitant on an anchor lift for my one breast since we were fixing my asymmetry, I did not want the extra scar and he immediately had a solution. My breast now look great to me and my husband and could not be happier I have even forgotten I had such different breast before hand they feel like I have always had them. We will see how these babies progress but the original surgery and the price I paid was the best price I could find and offered the most post op help
Dr. Alan Dulin & the AI4PS team were all incredible. Financially, I ended up paying OOP, and costs and deadlines were provided quickly and clearly. My communication with Lexy and Laura pre-op was primarily via email, and they answered all of the questions I posed, but if I needed an answer ASAP, the phone lines were always open and the response immediate. At my one-day pre-op consultation appointment, I met Dr. Dulin, and he was very professional, succinct, and answered all of my questions I had prepared. Any surgery is anxiety-inducing, but having a gender confirming one pulls at the brain a bit more, and I was incredibly nervous. I should mention that the consultation was very quick with him, about 5 minutes, but his demeanour and direct bedside manner gave me confidence and eased my fears considerably, especially because I was worried that my chest goals were not traditionally FTM top surgery (I wanted a non-flat, androgynous appearance with slightly bigger areolae and nipples). I was given a big packet of information for pre-op, op, and most importantly post-op care, directed to get my medication, and prepare for surgery the next day. The surgical team was very on-top of making sure I was aware of surgery time, and getting my health information and the anaesthesiologist also reassured me (which helped a lot, anaesthesia is scary!) On the day of surgery, everyone was quite kind and patient with me and Dr. Dulin saw me again, marked me up, explained to me what he was planning on doing, and into the OR I went! ~2 hrs later I woke up, and it was over, and the hard part of healing began. One day post-op, I went back in again, the ACE bandage was taken off (thank god!) and I was informed on how to do aftercare until the 1 week post-op appointment. 8 days later, I saw my new chest for the first time, and it was....instant peace. Dr. Dulin had taken my goal photos, my desires, wants, and needs into consideration, and had given me the chest of my dreams. I am now 10 weeks post-op and it's as though this is always the way it should have been. My chest has healed so well in the meantime (including my FNG), although I did have a bit of a contact dermatitis/allergic reaction to the Bacitracin and Aquaphor ~5 weeks post-op that had me nervously contacting Hope, but all is well that ends well and that cleared up when I started using Vaseline instead. Speaking of Hope, what an absolute angel -- she was there from pre-op all the way to now, and assuaged my fears, was so positive and bubbly, and was such a rockstar, answering all my questions, and being so patient with my nervous, bad-jokey self. I sent her emails, called her, and if I missed her, she would call/email back immediately -- communication with her was fantastic. I am so so glad I went to AI4PS and had my gender confirmation surgery with Dr. Dulin and his team -- I really can't recommend them enough! Especially now, with trans healthcare the way it is and especially in TX, I very much do not take for granted the work that they do and the gratitude and privilege I have to have been able to have this procedure done. - - - The single best thing about my procedure was the positive attitude that the team had -- I was a nervous wreck, had a lot of questions, and they were so patient and professional, it really helped calm me down. My treatment results are everything I could have hoped for -- it's really hard to envision the end result when you don't know how it's going to look like until weeks, months, or even a year down the line, but 10 weeks post-op, and I'm looking (and feeling!!) better than I could have ever hoped for. I never could have imagined feeling so much at peace in my body, and I cannot stress enough how life-altering this experience has been.
I had an amazing experience with Dr. Dulin & his staff. Couldn't be happier and I will be doing my other procedures with him in the future for my full mommy makeover which will be the upper body lift. Past Procedures- PERFECTIONIST -- ARM LIFT, BREAST AUG & LIFT!!
I couldn't be happier with the results of my surgery, performed by Dr. Dulin and his awesome nursing staff! I had been researching and having consultations with different PS in the area and in Dallas. Dr. Dulin was the last consultation I had before I was to make a decision on who I wanted to perform my surgery. I had A LOT of loose skin in the lower abdomen, but I didn't want a complete tummy tuck...I didn't feel at my age that it was important, at least not to me, to have my abdominal muscles tightened. I only wanted lipo and to have the loose skin removed. All the other PS I had consulted with had said it was a necessary part of the surgery, and that I would end up not being happy with the results if I didn't get the muscles tightened. Well, after coming out from my consult with Dr. Dulin, and his gorgeous coordinator, Laura Badr, I knew he was the one I had been searching for! He did exactly what I wanted and the results far exceeded my expectations!! His nursing staff is amazing, and the care I received before and after was top notch. I did stay overnight and I felt so comfortable having a nurse to care for me in just incase any problems would arise. I highly recommend Dr. Dulin to anyone looking to get this type of procedure.
My results far exceeded my expectations! I just wanted to be able to button my pants again but I look and feel great! In addition to the wonderful surgical results, I had a great experience with the staff as well. They are warm, friendly and do an outstanding job of preparing you on what to expect and how to manage your recovery. I am very grateful I found Dr. Dulin and highly recommend him!
I am 5 weeks post op a mega mommy makeover (lower body lift, lipo w/fat transfer, breast lift and implants). Dr. Dulin far exceeded my expectations. I am in love with my results and can’t believe this is my body. Dr. Dulin has changed my life. He is a truly skilled artist with the best belly buttons in the game!
Tummy Tuck, Muscle Repair, Hernia Repair & Lipo. Great surgeon, great staff, consistent aftercare. 17 days post op and feeling good. No longer taking pain meds. Moving around well. Incision closed. Bruising cleared up. Minimal scabbing left on scar. Happy with position and appearance of scar and appearance of belly button. (Previous history- multiple c-sections, hernia repair, laparoscopic surgeries)
Dr. Dulin is such an artist and competent plastic surgeon. He is most definitely a perfectionist. I had breast reconstruction/reduction post chemo/radiation + abdominoplasty. No problems post-op. I love looking in the mirror now - I still can't believe it's me. My breast looks like it did before. I have a waist. I was so stunned that I didn't notice for 2 weeks that my 10" vertical c-section scar had disappeared. Size from a 3X to an XL. The outcome will be better than you could have even imagined. It is astounding to see that Dr. Dulin could tell what I used to look like. Now, that's magic... I would, without any reserve, refer anyone I know to Dr. Dulin.
If I could give Dr. Dulin and his entire staff 10 stars it would be well deserved. Dr. Dulin, Laura, Hope, Lexy, Michaela and others on his staff were absolutely refreshingly professional and caring!!!!!! From my first visit with Laura to the overnight stay with Lexi I felt very much cared for and appreciate everyone mentioned and those whose names on the surgical side(staff) I can't remember BUT what I do know after spending over 1/2 of my life in the customer service industry specifically is the personal touches, integrity and the patience displayed when I asked questions; and I had a lot of questions. I had more than one procedure and although I had already heard of Dr. Alan Dulin's reputation for his excellent work and precision skills I can speak from firsthand experience as a extremely satisfied patient that I will highly recommend and have already referred Dr. Dulin to another friend thus far. Along with Dr. Dulin's wonderful and loving staff rest assured you would be in good hands. By the way...... I've seen 2 Lymphatic Massage Therapist and they rave about my body as i'm healing through the extended tummy tuck w/muscle repair, breast reduction/lift/liposuction. These LMTs asked 'WHO is the Doctor that did your surgeries, then both LMTs said(they don't know each other), I've seen other patients that had these procedures, and their bodies did not look half as good as you do!!!!! I know this is lengthy however we can all be long winded when we are complaining, and I believe we should be just as long winded when speaking positively about someone and our experience! If you are looking for a doctor and staff that cares about the patient and listen to the needs/desires of the patient and will tell you the truth and not set false/unrealistic expectations, PLEASE call the office, ask for Laura (Dr. Dulin's assistant and go from there). You will not be disappointed!
I had a mommy makeover a week ago. From the booking, payment, surgery, post care.... EVERYTHING HAS BEEN SO GREAT! I was so nervous, and I researched forever and decided to go with Dr. Dulin & SO HAPPY I DID! I even paid a deposit that I decided to loose after I read a couple complaints about a DIFFERENT Dr., and I would loose that deposit all over again to have surgery with Dr. Dulin. He doesn't have a ton of online photos to view, but trust me he is amazing. Staff was excellent, center was clean, & he was SO SWEET! He took the time to answer all of my questions and I NEVER felt rushed. All of my follow up questions have been answered within a few minutes. I live out of state, so they allow me to send pics and have just been so wonderful. I am very fresh (11 day post op) I will post pics once I heal a little more. (TT, MR, BL, BA) THANK YOU DR DULIN & TO HIS NURSE LEXY & CONSULTANT LAURA!!! XOXO - Heather C.
Yes you can. The high lateral tension technique or any abdominoplasty is possible with a lap band. You will need to tell your surgeon that you have a band and let him evaluate you for the best surgery for you.
Insurance will pay for a hernia repair almost always. They will not pay for diastasis recti repair. They will pay for a breast reduction if you meet the criteria. They will not pay for an augmentation or lift. They may pay for a panniculectomy if you skin hanging over 2 inches. This is not a tummy tuck. They will not pay for a tummy tuck or mommy makeover.
Yes sub pectoral and dual plane can be done through a areolar incision. Your family doctor is wrong. If you have saline they are more palpable. You do have some asymmetry in the picture as well. Both could be improved if you have saline and switch to silicone.
