Wonderful experience with Dr. Colgrove and staff. I had breast reduction and have been so happy with the results. Doctor and staff extremely competent and caring. Highly recommend if you are considering a similar journey toward a happier self.
I love this office and the staff. Dr. Colgrove runs an excellent, highly-competent practice. Personally, I visit Jennifer Burke. Jennifer is absolutely a godsend and miracle worker. She is extremely talented, accommodating, and a consummate professional. She will help you look and feel your best self but will also tell you when you do not need a treatment, what is best for you, what is a trend versus what is the right option for you. I ‘ve trusted her for nearly 10 years and will not go anywhere else. I send everyone to her. Those I send, send everyone they know to her. I cannot speak highly enough about Jennifer.
Everyone in my immediate family has had a surgery with Dr. Colgrove. We are all super happy with our results and the care that we received throughout the surgery process. He is the best at what he does! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
I can’t give Dr. Colgrove and his staff enough praise. I went to him when my first procedure went south from a different surgeon. Not only was he able do my revision successfully but he achieved the results I was initially wanting with the first surgeon. I also just recently completed another separate procedure with Dr. Colgrove. I will never go to another clinic ever. Jennifer there does amazing with my Botox as well.
I got my procedure done February 16,2024. The Hospital was very clean & the OR actually smelled of bleach. I felt like the staff was knowledgeable and polite. The Nurse was super attentive and friendly. She was very down to Earth and answered all of my questions. The first night was literally HELL I was in so much pain. I was in tears. I couldn't get my pain medicine filled in time, and the pharmacy closed I dropped it off at a Walgreens by his Office and had to go one with kipá in medicine just Tylenol. Luckily he has an after hours line. He was able to prescribe something, and order it to the pharmacy near me. The Morning after woke up feeling good very minimal pain. I was able to shower on my own and make something to eat. I regret doing this as the pain ame back with a vengeance. I guess i over exerted myself. I lie back down have been taking my pain medicine and have been icing my breast and have been okay. I have his really painful shooting pain all up my right arm. Im not sure if it has something to do with my implants being under the muscle, or the IV since that the side I had it on. (Right handed) so I use that arm the most. I got 2 different sizes to get more symmetry as Dr. Colgrove recommended. I'm over all really happy with the results although they're still very stiff/engorged. I can't wait until they drop! The pain comes and goes. I'll post my recovery as I heal.
Dr. Colgrove and his staff are amazing. Have had two surgeries with him and both have been great experiences. Had a tummy tuck and breast augmentation and lift. Plan on having more surgeries with him.
Vinings surgery and Dr. Cosgrove are amazing. I've had several procedures done there. All of which have turned out amazing. The estisicion is also wonderful. So Far at this office I have had botox, which looks amazing and lasts quite a while for me!
I wanted a breast augmentation because I wanted to feel more feminine and like a WOMAN. As a short girl with A cup sometimes I would feel like a 12 year old. I went to Dr. Colgrove in vinings, Ga and originally I chose 350cc but morning of surgery I decided to down size to 325cc. Less is more and if I'm going to live with them for years I don't want them to be in my way or a nuisance. They're still big on my frame but I can't wait for them to drop! Updated on 8 Sep 2023: Post OpDay 1- felt really goodDay 2- super tight . Right boob numb and my right arm numb. Feel empty and numb from meds.Day 3- super tight moving really slow. Boobs feel like rocks.Day 4- have a lot more use of my arms especially left but my right boob and right arm still hurt slightly . Better use my left armTook a shower by myself and it was a bad idea. I over exerted myself and got faint. My boobs were hurting so bad and I had to sit on the floor and catch my breathDay 5- I have a lot more use of my arms. No more arm numbness. Boobs have some pain that comes and goes but I think it’s the nerves connecting. Stopped hydrocodone. NIGHT TIME SWEATS..Day 6- felt great! Drove to grocery store and cleaned kitchen. I don’t feel depressed or numb bc of the drugs anymore. NIGHT TIME SWEATS AGAIN. I think related to my hormone changes and period starting soonDay 7- returned to normal life just taking it easy!Day 8- slept on right side— Bad idea boob is sore but my incisions look amazing Updated on 14 Sep 2023: My right incision is completely closed already. My secret to a fast recovery is chia seeds in my smoothie every morning. The only discomfort still is that my left nipple starts to hurt in the evening for about 1-2 hours but ibuprofen takes care of that. Seeing them now I wish I would’ve gone a little bigger and gone with high profile instead of mod plus but it’s probably just boob greed lol Updated on 27 Oct 2023: Took these pics for my fiancé a couple weeks ago. I’d say they’ve dropped and fluffed beautifully and it’s only been a little under 2 months since surgery. They look so natural which is what I wanted but If I could do it again I would do HP 375-400cc Updated on 31 Dec 2023: Happy with them but they have gotten a lot smaller now that there is no more swelling. Definitely wishing I went 375 -400 but not going to live in regret about it. I’m overall happy but scars are still very visible but getting lighter
I am very happy that I chose Dr. Colgrove for my breast implants and liposuction. I’m 1000% satisfied with the result and highly recommend him to anyone who wants to look and feel prettier. My breast implants look so natural. If I didn’t say it, no one would have guessed that I had them done.
I am 42 years old and I want to have boobs! I have lived most of life with basically flat chest, even when I was pregnant and nursing I was no more than an A cup. I went to few consultations and finally decided on Dr. Colgrove in Atlanta. After trying on sizers I decided on 325cc. My bwd is 13cm and I am hoping to get to a C cup. I have a narrow upper body so I don't want anything too big. I want it to be as natural as possible. My surgery is scheduled for March 23rd and j am very excited! My PS recommends a mesh to all his patients but I might opt out. I don't have any sagging nor lose skin. Updated on 23 Mar 2023: Few days before my surgery I wake up with uti symptoms. I called my PS and they said to schedule an appointment with my obgyn or primary care to get antibiotics. My ob gyn puts me in cipro for 3 days. He said that I should be fine for my surgery. I was worried I would have to reschedule. So here I am 3 hours away from surgery. I told my close girlfriends and they are all very happy for me. I hugged my kids extra hard today before then went to school. I didn’t tell them anything yet because I don’t want them to worry about me. They will know when they come back home. That’s it ladies.. I waited and waited for this. This has been a major insecurity throughout my teenage years and later as an adult. This could be the greatest decision or the dumbest one.. we will see Updated on 23 Mar 2023: Dr. Colgrove and his team were wonderful. Rachel, the OR nurse and the anesthesiologist all did a great job and put me at ease. I remember talking to them about margaritas and next thing I wake up in the recovery room. Surgery was at noon and I was on the way back home at 2.15pm. I love how calm and reassuring Dr. Colgrove is. I have my post op on Monday and hope all is well. I don’t feel any real pain so far.. only the pressure from the bra. I might take the muscle relaxer to sleep better. But I definitely feel better than expected. Let’s see how things are tomorrow they look tiny and all up high but I hope they will settle better. I did go with a smaller implant. I wanted a natural look that will compliment my body rather than making a statement :) I want to be able yo wear cute top and dresses without bras. Updated on 26 Mar 2023: I had a really good night sleep. Only taking the pain med at night before bed. I feel they are still super tight and honestly they look flat. I am really worried I went too small with the size. I kept everything as is, only removed the bra to let them breathe a little bit. It felt good. I am worried that the bra is too tight. But i also read that it’s to keep them in place. Today I kinda feel more energetic but not ready to go out yet. My husband is helping a lot. I have my post op on Monday. Hope all is well. Updated on 27 Mar 2023: I went to see my PS today and gave me instructions to keep the surgical bra for couple of more weeks. I was cleared to take a shower, and go back to my desk job. The incision seem to be healing really nicely. I don’t feel them. I expressed that I was worried that the size was too small and he assured me that they will drop and change with time. I hope so. I feel they are slowly dropping and changing. I just have to trust the process. I also removed the wrap which was a real pain especially at night. Today I felt normal and able to do my usually chores except for raising my arms or driving. I am just listening to my body and taking easy. Oh and I finally went to the bathroom.. twice Updated on 28 Mar 2023: Updated on 2 Apr 2023: So far so good with my recovery. They are still very hard but slowly taking a round shape. Today I ordered silicone tape for the incision. I went for a short walk today and u felt refreshed after. I feel like my right, dominant side and smaller implant, is softening healing faster than my left. I have a follow up appointment in 1 week. I like the size and u think it compliments my figure. Updated on 2 Apr 2023: Updated on 13 Apr 2023: Incisions heals well. I started applying silicone gel on them to reduce the appearance. Boobs are still high but taking a nice shape. I am really happy with the follow up with Dr. Colgrove. I had a 4 days visit, then 2 weeks, and I still have at 5 weeks. I will start the massaging this weekend and follow the instructions. Sometimes I wish I went bigger but honestly it’s much better than my before ???? Updated on 14 Apr 2023: Cute top Updated on 16 Apr 2023: Got this bra from target Updated on 17 Apr 2023: Target bralette for sleeping Updated on 30 Apr 2023: This week I have a follow up appointment. I feel like my recovery is going really well. They are still dropping. But I feel like my right is more stubborn Updated on 3 May 2023: I had my 6 week follow up appointment today. Everything is going really well. Dr. Colgrove said to keep the daily massage. He also said that I can work out except for direct chest and shoulders. I have to say that I am so impressed with the follow up. It’s not easy trusting your body to someone and I feel like he did such a wonderful job achieving the look that I wanted and following up on my progress. Happy 6 weeks to the girls :) Updated on 10 May 2023: I turn 43 tomorrow and I am celebrating the boobs! It’s never too late to do something for yourself. Now it’s time to hit the gym again and get ready for summer (uhhh a bit late I still fit into my old swim tops Updated on 10 May 2023: Updated on 10 May 2023: Swimsuit Updated on 29 May 2023: Today was my first visit to Victoria’s secret. I bought a Beautiful lace balconette bra. I never wore before a lace bra before without heavy padding. The balconnette bra was 34C and 30DD in a lightly lined bra. I couldn’t stand wearing any push-up bra. Never again will I ever wear one. Ladies if you are on the fence about getting a BA, make sure you pick the right surgeon, a reasonable size and just go for it! Updated on 3 Aug 2023: I feel like they were always part of me. My friends complement me how natural they look. Updated on 2 Feb 2024:
Tightness after a tummy tuck is normal and expected. If it is bothersome, stretching and massage can help alleviate the discomfort. Physical therapy, pilates, and yoga are great options to help with this.
Based on your photos, it looks like you would be a candidate for skin removal only if that is what you desire. However, I do not recommed doing the surgery under local anesthesia. The amount of local anesthetic needed to perform the surgery could lead to lidocaine toxicity.
I would wait to start smoking again until 4-6 weeks after your surgery. Smoking constricts your blood vessels which decreases the circulation to the surgical area. This can lead to delayed wound healing or even wound dehiscence. Smoking also increases your chances of developing a blood clot following surgery.
I am not sure that you will benefit from using hypafix at 6 weeks postop. I do not recommend alcohol to the incisions as it will dry them out. I recommend silicone gel or sheeting for scar management. My patients have had good results using silicone therapy after surgery.
After drains are removed, an increase in swelling is normal. The drains were acting as an outlet for the excessive fluid to be removed. Now that the drains are gone, the fluid is being retained until your body absorbs it. To reduce the swelling, continue wearing your compression garment. Avoid heat but you can apply ice packs to the area. Lymphatic massage is also helpful.
