I LOVED Dr. Perez and the whole staff at Renew honestly. Dr. Perez had a wonderful bedside manner, was personable and professional. I had no complications with my surgery. Going to Mexico for surgery is a little nerve wracking because of all of the negativity surrounding it. My family was very apprehensive about it and tried to convince me not to go but they didn't do the research I did and they didn't hear from the hundreds of people that were on the Renew support group on Facebook who had amazing, successful experiences with them. I 110% recommend Dr. Perez not only from my own experience but from the many experiences I heard of with him. After surgery he was also very quick, within less than 24 hours, to respond to any concerns or questions you have through email.
Doctor Perez was very friendly and knowledgeable. I almost died 5 days later after surgery do to the two inch incision that was not sewn shut in one of the linings of my stomach . My intestine went through the two inch incision and ALL my guts shut down. Thank God my husband rushed me to the hospital in Albuquerque NM, they did EMERGENCY surgery. When you leave the hospital in TJ Mexico you are on your own, they will not help with the $36000.00 the hospital charged me to save my life
Due to the initial lap-band procedure, the success of a revision to the existing sleeve will potentially be minimal. For invasive procedures, for ideal patient comfort 4 weeks is advised. No NSAIDs after gastric sleeve so ensure your surgeon is able to prescribe an alternate medication. Dr. PerezRenew Bariatrics
