This injectable wrinkle relaxor is the OG neurotoxin. It can freeze your face, but most injectors aim for natural movement, smoother skin, or a subtle lip flip.

Beyond its application to reduce facial wrinkles, Botox can be used as a treatment for other cosmetic concerns and administered therapeutically for a number of conditions.
Botox is FDA-approved to treat chronic migraines. By relaxing the muscles that contribute to pain, it reduces the severity of headaches.
Botox is FDA-approved to treat excessive sweat (hyperhidrosis) caused by overactive sweat glands in the armpits. It's also used off-label on the feet, palms, and face.
Botox injected into the jaw muscles can relieve symptoms of TMJ, along with the jaw-clenching and teeth-grinding known as bruxism.
Botox can be used off-label to treat a gummy smile by reducing how far the upper lip lifts up and how much the gums show. It's a temporary alternative to surgical lip repositioning or a gum lift.
Botox can be used off-label to treat vaginismus by temporarily relaxing pelvic floor muscles spasms and involuntary contractions.
I had my second Botox treatment with Dr Wilson last week. The first one lasted 1 year, and it was really good stuff. He only uses the original Allergan Botox, and he shows you the vial before he opens it. I always insist on seeing the vial because there is so much fake stuff in the market out there. After the...
I came into Dr Forleys office to get a consult for a facelift. My friend had one by Dr Forley and she looks so refreshed and like herself! I stead he offered me Botox and Filler to make me look refreshed and I feel beautiful again. I have had this done by another Dr and I felt overdone and not natural. He ...
Dr. Depew gave me Botox on my forehead and around my eyes before I walked my daughter down the aisle, the results were so much better than I thought they could be. Then he helped me lose almost 100 lbs on tirzepitide. Soon Dr. Depew will do my face lift. My body and joints feel so much better, thanks Doc!
There is only one Botox brand. If you are unsure what product is being used ask to see the vial. There are other neuromodulators that work similarly to Botox but have slight variations. They include Dysport, Jeuveau, Xeomin and others. If another neuromodulator was used this may account for the differences. You are correct though in noting the placement. It too can affect your results.
+5 answersYes, probably. Looking at your photo, what stands out to me is that you appear to have a fairly active platysma muscle and you've recently lost 30 pounds. That's a combination I see fairly often. Many patients notice these bands become more visible after weight loss because the muscle was always there, but there's less soft tissue masking it. If the bands become significantly more prominent when you smile, talk, or tense your neck, Botox is often one of the first treatments I would consider....
+3 answersHi Reversal, Bump in the forehead post botox is unusual especially given it is three years since injection. In the early stages- lumps can be swelling/ edema or haematoma based on infection technique. These all settle over a few daysSometimes a bump can arise from muscle imbalance- but rare and would settle after 3- 6 months when the botox wears off. Even more rare can get a bump from granulation tissue or a localised reaction to botox which is as very rare. This would be more common with...
