What is the Best Professional Teeth Whitening?

For a long time my teeth have bothered me. Too yellowed and stained to even smile much.  Before i just pick up some random teeth whitener, can you tell me what options there are and the best ones to whiten my teeth?

A: In office whitening is best for yellow & stained teeth

If your teeth are significantly stained and yellow, in-office whitening supervised by your dentist is your best bet. I find the AcquaBrite whitening system to be the most effective, even for stubbornly stained teeth (like tetracycline-stained grey/brown teeth), with little to no sensitivity.  Using a combination of in-office whitening gel along with at home bleaching, we've gotten awesome results with our patients.

Can I Eat Lettuce After Teeth Whitening?

Is It Ok to Eat a Lettuce the Day I Get my Teeth Whitened?

A: Avoid staining foods 24-48 hours after tooth whitening

A good rule of thumb as to what foods and drinks to avoid for 24-48 hours immediately following tooth whitening is this:  If you would drop or spill it on a white shirt and it would leave a stain, avoid it.  Lettuce should be fine. Some commom items to avoid:  coffee, tea, red wine, dark sodas, blueberries, curry, etc.  If you must drink coffee or tea, do so through a straw or coffee stirrer.
