Its been a depressing journey trying to get the nose Ive always wanted. I started with primary and 4 years later had collapsed the nostrils i couldnt breath well because the technique used was weak. I ended up getting a revision I can fully breath after that however one side of my nose tip was overprotected which left me looking a bit Witchy, the nose bridge also seemed wider but Im unsure what part he built. 2 years later I was always depressed about the side and quarter view because it was so pointy and I looked like dobby so the dr did a revision small procedure touch up where he de projected the tip but this time he had cut my nostrils and this is what Im upset about. I dont know what has happened and how it can be fixed so please help. My nostril flare I had gave me that feminine look to my face and was something I did love about my nose but now its just stitched down and I dont have that cartilage type curve flare anymore so now it kinda makes my nose look wide and dominant front on I feel masculine and quarter view photos doesnt have that nice curve it looks more masculine and I am really upset about it, how can I get this back? the other thing is the bridge I feel like its to fat. My next biggest issue is my lips , my philtrum seems 2 of dropped and is flat like its so ugly and manly. If I get a lip lift is there a way to pull the nostril to flare more and lift the lip? photos attached when I hold my lip and nostrils down n out.
I had rhinoplasty 3 years ago, and my smile has not returned back to normal. I appear to have a double lip when I smile now, and a bit of my inner philtrum hangs down above my teeth. The shape of my upper lip has changed a lot from the side profile too (giving a stiff upper lip look). My septum was lifted quite a lot and my bridge is far too low, so I'm looking to get augmentation surgery. Could this fix my lip too, or will I need further surgery?
As you can see, during my initial Rhinoplasty, my philtrum was sewn further into my face, making it now at an angle and giving me a smooshed face look. As well as, my columella is now retracted. What procedure will be needed during my revision to bring my philtrum back to its original angle and gain projection back?
My primary rhinoplasty surgeon says he did very little during surgery, but the nose was shortened and narrowed too much with cephalic trim/ intradomal suture. If he shortened the tip but forgot to trim the excess skin in the columella would that translate to a longer philtrum, more slack and less tooth show?
I had a rhinoplasty about 6 years ago and was unhappy with the results. My nose looks to short for my face, my septum still looks deviated (it doesnt even look like touched it), my nasal bones are uneven, and it looks like to much cartilage was taken from my tip. What really bothers me is my upper lip. It looks like my philtrum protrudes now.
I had overhaul rhinoplasty (augmentation and alarplasty). I let him decide and he cut too much of my alar rims and completely removed my alar overhang. Now the sides of my nose look disproportionate to the rest of my face. The edges of my nostrils look stunted. It makes my philtrum look too long and it looks weird when I smile. Is there a way to recreate the alar overhang or make the alar fuller? Maybe with fillers or auricular composite grafts? I think they looked the right size before. Thanks
I had a revision rhinoplasty 9 months ago. I traveled overseas for the surgery. I immediately noticed a hard lump in my very upper philtrum area (like where my columella meets with my philtrum). The lump feels about the size of a marble and I can grab it & wiggle it around. My guess is that it is maybe a piece of rib cartilage he inserted? But since it is not fixed in place it feels very annoying. Can I have this removed? Im afraid removing it would cause my nose tip to drop.
I am Southeast Asian. I had rhinoplasty 15 years ago and Goretex was used. Due to time and braces, my facial profile changed. My nose tip is now too upward (like the Grinch ) and the alar part of my nose widened because of weight gain. I want to have a revision to make it conform. to the rest of my face but is it wise to have my existing Gore-Tex implant removed or is it better to just adjust the tip. Philtrum also became longer. doesn't look good.
I had a rhinoplasty three years ago which has had a negative impact on my appearance. My nose has lost definition from the front, loss of supra-tip and bulky grafts making it appear amorphous especially on front view - it is also 'blunted' underneath with the columella no longer visible and nostril grafts seem too low and heavy. The space between the upper lip and nose also looks much longer. Could a rhinoplasty alone address these issues or should lip lift be considered? Thank you in advance.
I want to increase philtrum length. I had a primary rhinoplasty a year ago. I had a columella plasty because I wanted to reduce my bottom heavy nose 6 months ago. It is going to take 4mm+ of cartilage reduction to reduce the bottom of my nose. Its not about the show its about the upper lip and bottom nose space. It is all cartilage. What specific procedure would you recommend to increase the space? It will take more then a simple caudal septum trim to reduce the base
