Hi, I had a rhinoplasty in December 2024 which involved a hump removal, tip refinement and deprojection. It is a big improvement from my old nose, especially from the frontal view and side profile, however I'm sadly not happy with the 3/4 view (of my right hand side in particular), and I still think my nose sticks out/is a bit overprojected (which also seems to be more apparent on the right hand side for some reason). From the top, it sticks out and seems to be somewhat crooked. There is also a residual bridge hump which hasn't gone down. I'm aware that there are risks with revision rhinoplasty, but I think these issues will always be in the back of my mind otherwise, and I don't feel confident from certain angles still. I'd like to hear from other rhinoplasty surgeons to get their thoughts on my result and whether a revision is worth it in my case. Many thanks!
Had first procedure in 2022. Sides and tip noticeably larger after two years, so had revision with ear cartridge. Two years later, tip is still larger and right side of nose has noticeable lump (visually and to the touch). Surgeon now wants to use filler to give the illusion of a slimmer nose. I dont want an illusion - I want a nose that is smaller than the one I started with. I am just at a loss for what to do after spending 30k at this point.
I had a rhinoplasty and they reduced my alars much more than i would like to as well as reshaping them, i was told that 1-2 mm were removed. My collumella was also removed as well and there was a preexsiting assymetry between the alars that was not fixed. I feel it looks worse now. Can a reconstructive surgeon widen alars without much scarring? Can i also add back some of the bridge? The tip seemed higher and more lifted in the birth nose not sure why the whole nose is flat against my face now.
I have scheduled a 3rd revision rhinoplasty in Turkey in a couple of weeks. I am honestly terrified about whether it's going to be okay. At my first rhinoplasty I had a hump on the bridge of my nose. The result wasn't to my liking, it wasn't symmetrical so I had another surgery. This time the doctor inserted cartilage in the tip of my nose, because he wanted to add projection to my nose. This became a problem though because the cartilage is visible and it makes my nose longer and when I smile, it looks horrible. And the cherry on top of the cake: a dent started showing. I felt so bad about my nose and it really looks bad. My sons friend told him: your moms nose looks like a witches. This really hurt my feelings and makes me so insecure. Can you please tell me if my nose can be normal again, without any risks of cartilage showing through again, like it did the last time. I have asked the surgeon I have an appointment with and he is confident he can fix it, but I am still so scared. Can you doctors please advise me about this matter? Thanks so much!
Hi I have been botched 3 times and had my fourth revision. The surgeon did an amazing job. The issue is weve done microneedling and the scar is still there which is okay because Im hoping more misreading will take it away. What is the best way to fill in the hole/ dent/ missing tissue? Nano fat, filler, or do I need another revision? Thank you
As you can see from the photographs, the left side of my nostril has a small indent in the skin of my columella. I understand that it may become less noticeable over time due to factors like swelling. But will it be possible to get it closer to the edited version of the picture? What would be the required procedure? Would the surgeon need to re-cut and re-stitch the entire length of the columella, or could they simply perform a small revision on only the indented area? I am not interested in fillers as I have been told they are not a great solution in that area. Thank you very much for your insight.
I had my initial rhinoplasty 9 years ago for a bulbous tip, and although I am about 90% satisfied with result, I do feel that there could be more tip definition, more refinement with more of the underlying cartilage showing, and maybe also a bit thinner. Since I am still overall pretty satisfied with my result, I am a little bit hesitant to go through a whole second procedure in case I actually end up making things worse. Would appreciate any input and advice, thank you so much!
I had a rhinoplasty a bit over 2 years ago which was meant to straighten my nose which was left very crooked after an accideent. The surgeon thought he knew better and without my permission, he decided to give me the nose job he thought I needed. There's a lot about my new nose which I don't like, but probably the thing which bothers me the most is that smiling doesn't feel like it used to. I know I used to have a plunging tip, which made it feel like a smile spread out over my whole face, while now it feels like there's this pin at the base of my nose which get's in the way and makes it feel like I'm grimacing rather than smiling. So my question is, is it possible to somehow make my nose move the way it used to? Does this mean the strut would have to be removed, or is it somehow possible to have a plunging tip with a columellar strut? The surgeon did cut away a huge amount of cartilage from the alar cartilages so I worry there's not a lot of cartilage left to support the tip without this strut.
I had a revision rhinoplasty back in 2019, my columella has a lump on it and scar tissue in right nostril making it look Asymmetrical. Original surgeon refused to use steroid injection on it. I really dont want to have another revision surgery: can anything be done to improve my nose such as scar tissue removal or injection?
Had revision over 1.5yr ago. Wanted widened. It was thinned . U can see the osteotomy diagonal line. I know the upper bone part is difficult to move again but this middle area, is that difficult to pop back out? Did not want it thinned/higher. I figure (pray) this area is thinner bone and more accessible so relatively speaking easy to pop out?Asst trying to say bridge and tip are thinner because I lost weight. I know what my nose looked and felt like and you can feel (and one one side see the indents from the cuts made to move the mid vault inward. It is frustrating because the adamance is actually starting to be insulting. Another dr said they could do some fascia grafting but I think I would like the sides popped out as well as the grafting to the upper sides. Can see and feel the indents and the tip was thinned as well. So main question, are those approximate side areas circled easy to pop back out? And how would it be done and how long does that take, cost? I dont have another $24,750. Thank you.
