I had 3 previous rhinoplasties. I'm happy with my nose but wish my radix was filled out more to create a slope to my nose. I got filler there a year ago and love the results but I want a permanent solution. Is it possible with my history of 3 previous rhinoplasties to use cartilage to augment my radix? Would this still be a full open rhinoplasty surgery and take the same recovery as my previous surgeries? I was swollen for a couple years after my surgeries. Is it risky given my history? My last doctor said I had a lot of scar tissue in my tip. Would this be too difficult to do or is it fairly easy?
Hello I had a rhinoplasty done 7 years ago which I am happy with. The only thing I dont like is how low my nostril is, but it was like this before my op too. Is there a way that the right nostril can be lifted / cut to match the left one? I dont want filler in the left one as I feel it looks too droopy and low and Im happy with that side. I am willing to travel too but would prefer something under local anaesthetic. Thank you!
I had a revision rhinoplasty overseas last year and the collumellar strut is too long and presses into my lips when I smile or laugh and it causes discomfort and an ugly crease beneath my nose. Can the graft be shortened without a full revision?
Im considering a revision rhinoplasty for more refinement in my tip. I am fairly satisfied with the left side view of my nose, but on the right-sided view there is some asymmetry and still a slightly bulbus tip, that lacks refinement. I find myself never wanting to take photos from this angle. There is also a slight bump on my bridge which I had never had previously. And from the underside view of my nose, you can see there is a slight asymmetry to the nostrils. Wondering if a revision would be warranted to correct these issues and give me that tip refinement Ive been seeking.
I had the most beautiful results from a second rhinoplasty ( 13 years after first one). All was great for 4 months then redness and swelling occurred. I had the Rudolph nose leading my doctor to put me on cephalexin for cellulitis as well as Mupirocin ointment for the external area. Nothing has worked and the swelling continues. Ive had 3 kenalog and (1) 5FU injection. Im beyond depressed about my appearance. There also seems to be a painful to the touch area at the left tip. Could this be a rogue stitch? My surgeon is saying I may need another revision after a year. Im miserable. Please help!
Hello Doctors, I had a primary rhinoplasty in 2020, which addressed a dorsal hump but didnt fully resolve my concerns. My nasal tip remains bulbous and droopy, so Im planning to undergo a revision rhinoplasty. During a recent CT scan of my head (done for unrelated reasons), I discovered how deviated my septum is (see pictures). This aligns with my ongoing symptoms: nasal resistance and loud breathing. I dont believe the septum was addressed during my rhinoplasty, breathing didnt improve or worsen post-op. Given these factors, Im wondering: 1. Would it be advisable to combine a septoplasty with the revision rhinoplasty? 2. Could a septoplasty improve, or could it worsen some of the external asymmetry of my nose? 3. Should I thus prioritize finding a surgeon experienced in both functional and cosmetic revision rhinoplasty? I truly appreciate your time and insights. Thank you in advance.
Hello, I had a rhinoplasty a year ago to refine my bulbous tip, which caused my nose to project even more. I am wondering if I am a candidate for revision rhinoplasty in order to deproject my nose and bring it closer to my face. I would also like to keep the tip width the same, while reducing infratip lobule projection from the base of my nose.
Had my surgery April of 2022. Overall, really love my results aesthetically and functionally. One thing I think gives away the surgery and looks a bit unnatural to me is that my post-op columella is almost a straight line, and I'm wondering if there is an option for revision that focuses just on adding a bit of a convex shape back to the columella, such as with a graft? Non surgical or surgical options welcomed. I've included a pre-op photo of my nose. To me it looks like I already had very little tissue in that area, so I can't blame the surgeon for the straightness
I had a second revision rhinoplasty 7 months ago to correct graft work from a previous surgeon and address nasal collapse from my first procedure. Unfortunately, my nostrils still look significantly uneven. Is there any way to avoid a third revision? Could a surgeon potentially shave or sculpt the scar tissue in the smaller nostril to better match the right side? I'm really hoping to avoid going through another surgery.
I have had several revision rhinoplasties since my primary failed dramatically. My nose was overgrafted and later collapsed after careless graft removals. Each surgery has left me with more and more heavily bulging scar tissue inside the nostrils. You can see the bumps just by looking inside my nose, and they block my breathing severily. I have had kenalog injections - zero help. I had surgery to remove the scar tissue - more scar tissue grew. Do I have to accept I will not breathe ever again?
