My primary rhinoplasty surgeon says he did very little during surgery, but the nose was shortened and narrowed too much with cephalic trim/ intradomal suture. If he shortened the tip but forgot to trim the excess skin in the columella would that translate to a longer philtrum, more slack and less tooth show?

Dear Glorious153891,I do not use steroids prior to surgery. Thick skin does make the achievement of a defined tip more difficult. In my opinion and practice, this requires adequate structural support for the tip at surgery and active post-operative management of swelling. All the best, Waseem Saeed
