If my surgeon shortened the tip but forgot to trim the excess skin in the columella would that translate to a longer philtrum?

My primary rhinoplasty surgeon says he did very little during surgery, but the nose was shortened and narrowed too much with cephalic trim/ intradomal suture. If he shortened the tip but forgot to trim the excess skin in the columella would that translate to a longer philtrum, more slack and less tooth show?
