Over harvesting from FUE can be an issue and cause the patchy appearance.  It may also be due to shock hair loss.

It is best to ask your surgeon about post operative issues as each doctor has their unique regimen.  Tapping your hair should not be an issue.

It is best to ask your surgeon about post operative care as each doctor has their unique regimen.  If you had bleeding then some grafts may have dislodged. There is no way to tell based on a photo.
